Sketch #457~ cactus cuties, Stampin up

I made this very simple card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Cactus Cutites
I really wanted to play with this stamp
set, even though I am having eye complications
from this rotten covid plague.
I could not see well enough to get things to line
up and so then I ended up cutting out the little
cactus on the front so I could tie the
twine around the planter and add a little bow.
I was very thankful for the little yellow
embellishments.  It helped to finish the card.
Even though it's a bright and cheery little card,
that is NO was how I'm feeling.  I seriously
can't believe what is happening.  I have
impaired vision in my right eye, and now
moving to the left. They say it's from covid,
but Next Wednesday I go to the eye doctor.
That is the fastest they could get me in.
God willing my eyes will be safe  It's
quite frightening.  I won't lie.  I feel like
all my other belly aching is nothing
compared to this one now.  my Goodness
the LORD must have me in the trial of testing.

Anyways dear friends of my blog, please continue
to pray, that I will recover completely from
this covid, and my senses will return, smell, taste,
and mostly my sight.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement.

Week 399: RENEW~ In the Moment, Meant to Be, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  In the Moment
Stampin Up:  Meant To Be
The cue card word "renew" just seemed to mean
refresh,  and relax to me.
Sometimes to renew a person just needs to slip
away and relax and get a new fresh perspective on things.
Ideally my idea of renew would be to grab
a good book and/or Bible study and just
lose myself in it.  That was until about a week and
a half ago, and now my vision is being messed
up thoroughly because of covid.
In fact making this card was a challenge indeed.
The coloring was almost impossible.  My right eye
is so blurry and now it's moving into my left eye.
I couldn't see the lines good, and I wasn't sure
if my colors were blending together.  Sigh.
I also find petting my dog and snuggling with him
so helpful.   SO I love this image.   Even
though my little HP is Black and white, this is
very much how we relax together.  And renew
our mind and energy.

I sure could use prayers for my eyes to be
restored to good vision.  and that I fully recover
 from this horrible covid.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement.

FMS519~Cactus Cuties, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Cactus Cuties
I had to do something to keep my mind off
of how miserable I feel.  Apparently my senses
are all taking leave of absence.  It is not pleasant.
I ordered this new stamp set weeks ago,
but haven't been up to playing with it.
Today I pushed myself to try and bring
back some of my usual routine.
I do believe I'll be laying down again soon.
I had two sentiments in mind for this card.
one said, "thanks for sticking by me"
the other said, "I'm stuck on you"
and yet I ended up using the one that
came with the stamp set.
So much for that idea.
I hope you are all staying well.
Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement.

Sketch #456 Meant to Be, stampin Up Valentine card

Hello dear friends.  I missed you all.
It took all the strength I
had to make this card today.
I cut all the vertical strips out
of DSP, and then layered them on red card stock.
Then I had to decide which ones I wanted to stick
next to each other.  Something so simple, and yet
it took me quite a long time.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Meant To Be
I'm dealing with alarming eye troubles.
Of all the things, now this.  GRRR.
Anyways according to my eyes the sketch seemed
to hover over to the left side of the card.  So hence
the reason I included the stamped heart near the
bottom of the right hand side to even things out.
Well as much trouble as I had making this card,
I'm happy with how it turned out.  I had a hard time
seeing my paper trimmer for cutting all those strips,
but I kept trying, even right now as I type this
my eyes are weak and blurry.
I will try not to be too long winded in telling
you about last week, and into this week.
It has been absolutely awful.
This sweet little HP came down with
a raging ear infection.  We usually keep
on top of things, but this time we got
side tracked, my poor husband was sick.
Then my new doctor appointment, was
not at all what I was hoping for in terms
of help.  I feel like I'm not ever going to
get anyone to help me.  Anyways, back to HP.
  We had to drive about
35-40 minutes away to go to a Vet. that
was horrible.  They wouldn't even let us
be with our dog.  4 hours by himself,
was just heartbreaking.  He has such anxiety
and loves to be close to us.
I cried the entire time.  We got home
and I started to make us a very
very late supper, so there I was trying
to make us food and all of a sudden
out of the blue, I started feeling horrible
by 10:30 I was in my chair, fever, and
sleeping, then it happened, bad eye
pressure, I woke up the next morning
all fevers and for the next three days,
and now blurry eyes,  And
unfortunately I think It is covid.  I was
thinking the flu, but today lost all since of
smell and taste.  So I beg of you dear friends
and fellow card makers Please pray for us
This is horrible.   I feel weak and broken.

But I was inspired today because of a dear friend
who made this gorgeous card for me.  Her words
on the inside moved me to tears.   So
very comforting to know people are praying.
Nancy's cards are just gorgeous.  I'm so grateful
to receive one.

Sketch #454~Making Christmas Bright, Stampin Up.

Happy New Year Friends.
Hopefully this year will be filled with abundant
blessings for you and your families.
I honestly wasn't going to play along this time.
I've had a bit of a set back with my health.
Spent some time in the ER because of this
ridiculous BP, then came home and a week
later still so dizzy I almost passed out.  And
my hands are so weak and numb.
SO please please pray for me.  This is
getting more bothersome and scary now.
I go to a new clinic on Wednesday and my dear
husband took off to take me since apparently
I can't drive at this rate.  Ugh
I've done so much crying, feeling absolutely
hopeless in the pursuit of getting help for
my health.  This is the first time I've stamped
in about a week or so.  Hands just aren't cooperating.
My darling sat with me and helped me with the washi
tape, because I was struggling with it.   He has prayed
so hard for me.  I thank God for such a dear man.
Any ways I was able to make a card and it made me
happy.  It is such a happy hobby for me.
I actually made this card for a neighbor down the road.
I don't know them, but their Christmas lights are
always a delight to me.  They put them up in Dec.
and leave them up a week or two into Jan.  I think
it is so lovely.  And I just wanted to let them know.
I used my glossy accents on the bulbs, and used
gold paper for the threads of the bulbs.  So I matched
up the gold stars with that.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Making Christmas Bright
and I also used the stitched dies.

I thought I'd share the start of a card I was
originally going to submit, I tried to
make cute little blocks, well after using a ruler
and getting frustrated with my drawings,
 I just couldn't make
it look nice, no matter what I tried, so I finally
decided to try a whole new direction and
hence the Christmas one.  Plus making
Christmas cards always makes me happy.
Nevertheless I want to share this one too.
Oh and on a happy note.  I think it is one of the
delightful team members on your blog who recommended
a book for me. "Surviving Savannah"  I purchased one for my
daughter too, for her birthday.and she LOVES it.  So thank you so much.

Friends.  I am sorry to say I had to
 turn on word verification
 because I’m getting ridiculous amounts
off spam.  And sadly this has not stopped them.
So I am now only able to let friends comment.
This is so frustrating.  I am so sorry.  If you
would like to leave a message I invite you
to do so on my instagram page.  At least
for now until these spammers slow down.

Thank you kindly.
