Card #52 for 2025

Dearest blog readers,
Today is Maundy Thursday.
I don't think as a child I fully understood the
significance of today.  But I do recall with fond memories
how the Pastor of our little Baptist church would do things.
I believe we had a supper prepared by the church ladies,
followed by a sermon and then the part that sticks out so
clearly in my memory is the wooden cross with nails.
We were given pieces of paper to write down our sins, and then
one by one we'd go up and pierce the paper on the nails.
What a significant meaning to my heart as a believer,
Christ on the cross dying for my sins.
Here is a picture of the tapestry that has been in our family
for years.  It was on my grandma's living room wall.
The story goes, that grand-dad purchased it from a man down
at the tavern he visited.  The rest is history.

I will enter this card in the challenge at:
My card was simple stamping, and yet so much fun
because I felt like I was dying Easter eggs but without
the mess and cleanup.  I really like how it turned out.
I might make a few more for next year so I'm prepared.
I ran out of time this year.  I don't know why I wait to the last
minute for holidays, and then I never have enough cards.
Patriot pup will have his surgery April 22nd.  Please keep
him in your prayers, for a safe procedure, he has to have
to incisions.  and that the cost will not be as bad as they say.
Thank you kindly.
The verse I chose for this card is:

Luke 22:19-20NKJV
And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying,
“This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying,
“This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
Keep Smiling and Keep Stamping
