Card #14 for 2026

Dear blog readers, what an adventure we've been having here.

Last week we lost power in the ice storm, it's common here 

to lose power in our house especially during the spring/summer

months with storms.  But to lose it when it's freezing out was no fun.

Especially while one is sick and still healing from all the surgeries.

So hubby packed puppy and I up and we went to my daughter's

for the day time. and then snuggled up with many blankets and clothes 

at night.  It finally came back on after 3 days.  The house was frigid.

we celebrated my birthday at our daughter's house and also Easter.

She opened up her kitchen to us and we made a lovely meal. and our 

son came up too for the celebration.  So glad we could all be 

together even when we had no power. we were able to make it happen.

Blow is a picture of my Birthday daisies from my 

beloved.   I loved daisies and dandelions. 

I also included a few pictures of the yard from the ice storm.

You could hear the branches breaking and then

crashing to the ground. It was not fun.  Puppy was very concerned too.  

Even the seeders were loaded but this lovely

cardinal still enjoyed the rain bath, even if 

it was freezing rain.  

The train yard kept moving through it all. 

This is a picture yesterday.  Patriot Puppy loves to be outside.

it was 50 degrees outdoors.  I call him Trouser sometimes

because he loves to stand and it always looks like he has short

pants on when he does.

A dear friend lost her mom, this past week, so I crocheted her an angel

in memory of her mom and the fact her mom also crocheted.  IT was 

my first attempt at an angel, so a few mistakes but hopefully not to shabby. 

I just wanted to do something special for my friend. 

Also been making coasters again..

Little fella has the sweetest puppy eyes.
