Tuesday Morning Sketches #402~Buttercups and Butterflies

I'm stilling playing with the new stamp set I won called Buttercups and Butterflies.   I stamped the buttercup image on the background paper to match it perfectly.  I then fussy cut around that and three of the butterflies to give them some dimension.   I think this is a lovely sentiment.    I used my gold glimmer pen to highlight the middle of the flower, and added some over sized pearls to the butterflies.  I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at: Tuesday Morning Sketches

I also added a picture of our ash tree, it just starting to bud a bit, who knew they would look like tiny bananas.. makes me smile.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog.  Hope you will leave a comment, and check out a few of my other projects.

CTS #221~Life is Tough

Yay.. The stamp set I won came in the mail today and that means I had to play with it, so why not try it out with a challenge at: Case This Sketch

I embossed the bottom layer of my card and then added some patterned paper I picked up from the walmart store.  I then layered my other two pieces of paper and stamped the images.  I fussy cut out the one butterfly and gave him some dimension.  I then added a little pearl for some bling.  I thought it would be fun to take a picture outside so you can see the shadow of the raised butterfly.. It turned out lovely.  The stamp set is from Stamplorations and is called Buttercups and Butterflies.  I really am naive when it comes to all the different rubber stamp companies out there.  I've Always been a huge Stampin up fan since the beginning, but then started adding a few Lawn Fawn  stamps and dies, and really like them as well, then Sweet n Sassy has lovely items.. oh boy the list goes on and on.  However I stick with stampin up inks, and all my papers are from Michael's or Walmart.  Just can't afford the good stuff yet.

FRIENDSHIP THANK YOU

I can always tell when I'm dealing with extra pain or stress, and without being a complete downer here on my blog, let me just say..WOW!  I end up making a bunch of cards.  I guess that's good for my blog.  (SMILE)   This here card I made for a friend who popped over to pick me up and take me back to her new home.   It was so exciting.  You see she lived in an older home for many years, like my home now.  So it was so fun to see her show me  her new place, with level floors and a bathroom that has a vanity, and a tub with no mold/mildew, and a finished basement.  I'm a bit jealous as I told her, and hopefully someday I'll have a nice home too, but any ways it was good to visit with her and see her swell home.  I'm truly happy for my friend.  I hope she likes the card.
I also thought I would share a picture of chippy who packs his cheeks full of corn, leaving none for my squirrels.  I have a feeling Chippy is stashing it our basement again. *insert sigh.
Thank you for visiting my blog.

THINK HAPPY BE HAPPY

This card came together very quickly.  It is the stamp set that I won on a blog challenge a couple weeks back, it came with matching dies too.  I'm having fun playing around with the flowers.  The sentiment I found at Michael's quite some time ago in the dollar bins.
I sent a couple of these cards out to some special moms I know.

FANCY FOLD

Here is a fantastic fancy fold card that I found on the lawnfawn blog.  I thought how perfect since I have the Pedal Pusher stamp set from stampin up.  A great way to use a bike theme just like the video shows.  However, I now think I need their cute stamp set as well.  YIKES>> it never ends wanting more stamps and accessories.    I did the fussy cutting on this bike as well as the last bike card I made, it doesn't get any faster or easier, but I think it looks ok.    I see many possibilities using this fancy fold for a card.    It was hard to get a nice picture of it in my usual card spot.. so I ended up holding the card.
Thank you for dropping in for a visit today.  Hope you stop back soon.

KIND KOALA

I'm just smitten with this kind koala.  I do think it's going to be one of my favorite stamps of all times. I'm so happy I purchased it from ebay.  I actually made this card for the ebay seller.  I got a bit curious about the koala so I looked up some information and found it to be super interesting. Take a look for yourself at: Facts about Koalas.  Thank you so much for stopping by.   Come back soon.

RRCB62~BIKE BASKET FULL OF FLOWERS

I'm kind of pushing the bar here a bit with this card, because you see it's only a year old.  It is called Pedal Pusher🚲 and it's from the saleabration  Stampin up catalog 2016.   I'm going to submit this card to the  spring flower challenge at: Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.   I just ordered this retired set off of ebay, because my daughter and her boyfriend have a tandem bike, and I thought it would be delightful to make them cards using this set.  So this is my first time playing with it.  I thought it went well for this challenge, because in spring we all get our bikes out of storage and the buds start blooming.   I used a floral background paper and embellished it with a flower brad.  The bike I fussy cut out and then used my little knife to cut around the tire spokes that's really fussy cutting😉.  I added some beautiful flowers in the basket.  I imagine while biking  the young couple pulled over so he could pick some wild flowers in the field for his little lady, and so now their basket is full as well as their hearts.💗   My imagination runs away sometimes.
I've added a picture of  my daughter and her boyfriend taking ride on their tandem bike in the alley behind our house.

I also included a picture of the little guest on my deck.. He was peaking around the post at me.

Thank you so much for visiting me today.   I hope you will leave a comment, and follow my blog.
