FUSION Cactus Door At Home With You, Stampin UP, Stuck on You, Lawn Fawn

I don't know how I managed this card today.  That alone is a miracle of sorts.  I drove myself to the walkin, and after about 4 hours there, a very NOT friendly doctor informed me I need to have my gallbladder out, and he's concerned about my pancreas  😢  As I left I understood some surgeon would call me.  Well that didn't happen so now I just sit here and wonder was I suppose to do the calling.  I mean seriously when people get news like that, the least a doctor could do is be kind. UGH.   If you're a praying person.. please keep me in your prayers..  I'm very fearful of surgery, especially after my back.  So as you can imagine my anxiety is through the roof right now.

Well enough of that and onto happy things.

Like this card I made for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in my card today are:
Stampin up's~At Home With You
Lawn Fawn~Stuck On You
At first I was going to have the door open and have the cactus on the inside.. well folks after much cutting and "wallpapering" the inside of the house.  It just didn't look nice, so I  "closed" the door on that and decided to stick the cactus on the the front porch.  My gosh I wasted a lot of time.  I should have taken a picture of the inside of the door before I glued it shut.    I did leave the little yellow squares in the window to shine a little light on the situation.
I hope you can see both the sketch and the photo in my card today.

*Don't you think googly eyes would be fabulous on the cactus on the inside of the card?

#TGIFC168~Epic Celebrations, Garden in Bloom, Stampin up

I made this card today for the challenge at:

I stamped the background circles with melon mambo, and then began stamping my images which are from stampin up.  Garden in Bloom and Epic celebrations for the sentiment.
I fussy cut all the images to give it just a tad bit of dimension instead of stamping right on the circles.
I really liked working with this sketch.  I think there are many possibilities.

I'm so excited to say that I finally did it❕❕ I joined the stampin up team.  I have thought about it for quite some time, and finally just decided to try it out.  I joined July 14th.   I hope I can make a go of it.  I'm not quite sure how to get my website up and running but hopefully I'll learn, and hopefully I'll earn a few sales.😊

HSSCC293 & CTS #280 SCS Arrows

Today I wanted to make a card that stuck with my SCS.  So I chose this lovely verse.  I really needed a bit of reassuring so this scripture was perfect.  Praying that on Friday my doctor will be able to figure out what's going on.

I really have a thing about arrows.  In fact, if I were to ever have a tattoo it would be one of two designs: A wedding band of some sort, with scrolling on my ring finger, since my hands are always swelling.  Which means I can't wear rings much. And also an arrow.  I love the symbolic meaning of arrows in the Bible and also I love this saying:
I sent this to a friend a while ago when they were going through so tough times.. It's perfect for me right now..
Well enough about that, it's probably TMI (to much information)  Onto the card for today.  I found a lovely little stamp set from Michael's, many moons ago that had a couple arrows in it.  So I couldn't resist using them today.  I thought they worked perfect with the verse.. mighty and fierce my God will protect and strengthen.
I'm going to submit this card to the following challenges:

FMS345~Vintage Vogue, Birthday Wit Stampin UP

Today my hubby has been insulating the whole outside of our home and our garage.  We are trying to find out where these little critters are coming in.  So every little hole and crack is being stuffed with insulation.   So while he is doing that I made a quick card for the challenge at:

I used two stampin up sets:
Birthday Wit.  Which is the sentiment.  I stamped it and then cut it in two pieces so I could also decorate the inside of the card.
Vintage Vogue is the other set and that is the cute little flower.  I used a strand of sequins to fancy up my washi tape a bit.   I like the nice clean crisp look of this card.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
I also want to mention I added a few more stamps in my Etsy shop.  Or you can view them  in the link bar at the top.  Prices are negotiable.  Just message me. Thank you.

Challenge 66 Watercolor Words, Garden in Bloom, Stampin Up

Well when it rains it pours, as the old saying goes.  First the oven needed repairs, and then apparently the A/C must have been jealous of all the attention the oven was receiving so it decided to stop working.  Of course it would be the weekend we are gearing up for some muggy weather.  I'm not a wimp with the weather, however, I have gotten very spoiled with cool nights for sleeping. Praise the LORD, the A/C man was able to come out and fix that in between jobs.  So that was a "cool" blessing.
I hope everything stays running as it should now.   Ya just never know how much you take things for granite until they stop working or there's some sort of problem.
Now Onto the card:
I have a hard time getting color on kraft paper.  I have tried many techniques, and then I thought paper piecing.  AHA❕  That will make the colors pop over the very neutral background, and indeed it did.  This is such a simple card, but nevertheless I'm so pleased with the splash of vibrant colors.  I used two stampin up sets:  Watercolor Words and Garden in Bloom, I think they compliment each other really well.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
the Theme for the challenge is: "Anything Goes"

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #461~Layering Love, What I love. Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
I combined two stampin up sets to make this card.
What I Love
Layering Love
I used paisley patterned paper to make it pop.  I love how the sentiment is simple and the flower adds just enough class to spruce the card up, plus the twine has a nice golden sparkle to make it shine.

Sketch 272 & Challenge #4 Gorgeous Grunge, Crafting Forever Stampin Up

Well today has been quite the experience for me.  My dear little HP, also know as Hunter proved his hunting skills to be quite good.Image may contain: grass, dog, outdoor and nature
I was outside with him enjoying the weather and then BAM.. before I knew it he had a rabbit in his mouth. UGH!!!  so of course I went into hysterics and he dropped the little critter and it took off under the fence.. I hope it didn't get hurt.. but I'll not ever know because the junk yard we live next to, harbors all kinds of things over there.. let's add another UGH there.   So I feel like my card today showed how my brain was a bit distracted.. because I didn't practice the less is more concept as you can clearly see. 😉  I love how I started off with every intention of using something floral, and something blue, and it turned out like this.. I used stampin Up's gorgeous grunge for the splattered background, which by the way remind me of the Packer colors.   Then I used Crafting forever for the rest of the images.   After coloring them in and fussy cutting them each out I had to find the perfect placement to go with the fun sketch at:
I'm also going submit my card to the challenge at:
Challenge #4

Let the Troubles Begin!
Choose to combine the 3-2-1 Recipe using the optional Sketch Challenge and/or include the Twist.
Well I hope you can still see the sketch in my card design, I also tried to stick to the guidelines of the double trouble challenge.  I did a bit of dry embossing on the small rectangle and the square.  I used multiple colors, and a sentiment.
This is my first time playing along with Double Trouble. It looks like this will be a wonderful new challenge blog.

* I just wanted to say I love how my planter pot turned out.  It looks kind of weathered to me. Perfect for holding crafting supplies.
