Cards #97, 98, 99 for 2025

Dear blog readers, I ordered an older stamp set
off of etsy, and I just love it, and much to my surprise
the seller included a bunch of clip art items.  Now I'm
not usually a fan of using them in my cards, because I
prefer the stamped look, but I decided to play with them,
so in this post I have 3 cards with the clip art.  The first
card I will enter in the challenge at:
I used the stampin up set, gingerbread man for the sentiment.
I embossed it in white to make sure it popped out with
all the DSP in the background and plus I needed to stamp something.
I was really quite pleased with the scraps she sent
me and how each card turned out.
The inside.
You can not ever have enough Christmas cards.
The inside.
My little helper, Patriot pup.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 30:2 KJV
Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

UPDATE:

I had my surgeon appointment Oct 27th, and I went
with a list of questions and I asked him none.  Because
he wants to get me hooked back up ASAP.  I was so happy and
yet very scared.  I have to have a colon barium enema x-ray on
Nov 7th.  I could really use prayer for the procedure as I have to
be alert for the whole thing, and that the results come back all
good for us to move forward and get this reversed.  If it's all
good the doctor would like to do the surgery in November.  Praise
God for this good news.  I'm praying my test will show all good
things and my body will be ready for surgery with no
complications or injuries this time.   He's not to concerned
about the damage to my bladder, ureter and kidney because
he's focused on the intestines and closing up the ileostomy and hooking
the plumbing back up together.  I will have more titanium staples in me now,
but God willing they will last and be ok until I'm a 102 years old.
Thank you for all the prayers and love.  I truly appreciate it.

Oct 14th 2025~Update: I had my 6 week appointment after having my stents out of the ureter tube
and sadly it's not going well, that ureter tube is not emptying, and the kidney is enlarged and I now have stones again too. Drawing my blood was a disaster and the tears fell like a flood, my body is so broken from all that has happened. It took 2 jabs to the arm, much digging and my hand went numb,
then they had to dig around for a vein in my hand to use finally the the second poke in the hand and searching they were able to prick a vein with the butterfly needle and a small drip. I'm exhausted. Please continue to pray for healing if it's God's will to make me whole again. I'm so heartbroken by this all, it just means the surgery for the ileostomy will now be postponed until we can figure out what to do with my swollen kidney and not working ureter tube, something that is entirely their fault because of the surgery, this shouldn't have been a thing to recovery from, but here we are, and God willing it will be restored by His mighty hand. Because of who He is and what He can do I trust He will bring me safely through. Counting it all Joy knowing I can trust Jesus. ✟

Card #96 for 2025

Dear blog readers this is one of my favorite
Christmas stamp sets because I love all things
nostalgic.  In fact below is a list of my favorite
Holiday Movies.  I'm all about the classics.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
Festive Wear

This is my second card in the challenge,
I honestly wasn't going to add another, but
while looking for a stamp set I came across
this one in my collection and just couldn't pass up
the opportunity to play with it.  This was the perfect
challenge to do so.  This is a stampin up set called
Christmas in the making.  I used the plaid dsp for
her dress as well, and let me say with my old eyes
it was quite difficult to see the lines for cutting,
but I'm so pleased with how it turned out.
Just classic and simple
Patriot pup knows how darling I think
it is when he begs.  So he's showing off here.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Luke 1:37 KJV
For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Card #95 for 2025

Dear Blog readers, I went a little stir
crazy stamping snowflakes this evening,
I figured since I had the embossing powder out
why not?   I don't often emboss because I'm so
messy with it.  It's like glitter to me, I get it
everywhere and find it months later no matter
how much I try to clean it up.
I will enter this card in the challege at:
The stamp set I used is:
Stampin Up:  Snow is Glistening
I love those little silver embellishments.  I will
have to order some more.  I also added some
snowflake brads that I've had in my stash for a
very long time.
Patriot pup is posing by the Thanksgiving
tree.  I had a treat in my hand begging him to stay.  haha
The verse I chose for this card is:
Mark 9:23 KJV
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe,
all things are possible to him that believeth.

Card #94 for 2025

Dear blog readers, I was inspired by the pictures my son sent me
of the train show gingerbread lego layout.  It was incredible.
I wish I could have went with.  WE love train shows, but
still not doing very well, and can't make the drive.
So I made a card instead.
I will enter it in the challenge at:
Festive Wear

The stamp set I used in this card is:
Stampin Up: Gingerbread man with matching dies
I stamped and embossed the little guy with white.
Then I went to work dressing him in his Christmas
festive wear with matching hat and scarf.  His little
hands looked empty so I added a few candy canes as well.
Hard to believe that Patriot pup will be 16 months
old tomorrow.  Our little July 4th pup is quite a handful
of mischief. and energy.  But all springers are.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Mark 11:24KJV
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray,
believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Card #93 for 2025

Dear blog readers, Happy Halloween.
I managed with hubby's help to put up a few decorations
and thanks to the filter on my phone I dressed up the dog. wink

I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used are:
Stampin Up:
Perfectly Plaid
Making Christmas Bright
Signs of Santa

I thought those little stamped wreaths encircled the
Christmas trees beautifully.  When I was looking for something
to put on the side of the circles, pinecones just didn't look nice
and even evergreen twigs were too big, it's just by chance when pulling
out a few sets that I noticed the little presents in the one set and it was
the perfect addition to the North pole delivery.
Here Is Patriot put with his Captain's Hat on for Halloween
Thank goodness I can play dress up with the phone filter,
because to wrangle this dog is a two person job.
The verse I chose for this card is:
John 5:14 KJV
Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him,
Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.

Card #92 for 2025

Dear blog readers I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used are:
Stampin Up:
Yuletide village
Night divine

I stamped the images directly on the card stock
and then colored them.  The little red house had more to it, but
I masked it off with scotch tape so it would fit on the card.
I colored the images and then used liquid pearls
for the snow.
Patriot pup always likes to get in close when he's not
chasing reflections.  It's a real problem with him chasing
light, shadows, or reflections.  If you have an suggestions
to help this, please let me know.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 6:2 KJV
Have mercy upon me, O Lord; for I am weak:
Lord, heal me; for my bones are vexed.

Card #91 for 2025

Dear blog readers I will enter this card
in the challenge at:
The stamp sets in this card are:
Stampin Up:
Night Divine
Stitched Shape Dies
Toile Christmas

I was happy with this very traditional DSP with
little gold strips in the plaid.  I die cut the oval and
embossed it with a snowflake folder, I also added a
little clear wink of stella glitter to the snow, it's just hard to
see in the picture.  I stamped and colored the images and then
ran them through the big shot so I could place them on the card. I cut
the sentiment close to it's line so that when I die cut the gold card stock
it would be a border to the banner. I added the gold sequins and finished
off the inside with a sentiment.
Below is a picture of Patriot pup.  He was under my
stamping desk.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Matthew 8:13KJV
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed,
so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
