PP383 - A Theme Challenge from Jaydee & March Technique Challenge~Weather Together Stampin UP

Today I made this card using 2 embossing folders.  One for the tulips and one for the clouds.  I colored everything in with my markers, trying to stay inside of embossed lines is quite difficult for me, but easier then trying to sponge them. The markers just give it a much bolder color.  I also used my Stampin up weather together set for the umbrellas.  I die cut them out after stamping and then spruced them up a bit with a silver sparkle strip.  I think it turned out cute and springy.  I like to think the umbrellas are protecting the delicate tulips from the spring rains.

I also wanted to mention that on my last post you can find here you will be able to see a few of our daughter's wedding pictures and our son-in-law.  Along with a few pictures of our son riding.  Always fun to watch him, a bit nerve wracking for a mama.. but nevertheless Extreme sport BMX  is fun to watch.   Keeps me praying that's for sure.

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #37~Amazing You Stampin UP

 I made another waterfall card❕ This time it's for my son who will turn 25 this September.  I wanted to go ahead it make it while the technique is still fresh in this ole brain.  So I was happy to find a challenge to play along with at:

I chose the middle row down.   Celebrating my son's birthday.. with a bit of silver highlights as in sequins and stars, with a little banner, then the fancy waterfall fold card.  I will include a video so ya can all see it.  So proud because I added a jazzy little tune with it.  haha.. my daughter even says it's so me.  I'll include a picture of my boy.  I can't believe he will be 25 my goodness time goes fast the older I get.  He's an extreme BMX rider so this picture he took at the park.. I'll share a couple of him in action.  Love my kiddos.   I will share a couple wedding pictures today of our daughter and now son-in-law too.  We are blessed.  

                

 And now for the video.. haha. I'm so not good at this kind of stuff.. but the fun I have is crazy.

FMS326~Heartfelt Blooms and Amazing You Stampin Up

 Well folks, my hubby finished painting the little room that will eventually be my stamp room.  YAY.. of course the shelving we already have on our porch is no longer available.  So we had to settle for something else 😞 which means it won't match.. grrrr.  Things always change.   Nevertheless looking forward to having it all work out in the end. My dear husband has worked very hard for me, and I sure do appreciate that. 

This card I made today is for the challenge at: 

 Freshly Made Sketches

I used my stampin up set called waterfront to create this card along with Amazing you for the sunrays. The sentiment is a verse that I've had for many years.  I thought it worked lovely in keeping with my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)  It took many takes to get the card to look somewhat clean and orderly.  

I'm also including another card I tried to work on today with the Heartfelt Blooms set.  I've seen all kinds of magnificent art with this image, so I thought I'd give it a shot with watercolor pencils and the aqua painter.. well folks.. that picture is all there is because afterwards.. I disliked it so much that I actually just stamped it in one solid color and for me that's about all I can do with this stamp.. such a shame because I think it's a gorgeous bouquet.

RRCB81~Not So Seriously Stampin UP

 Well, today I made this sweet little card using my newly purchased stampin up set called Not So Seriously.  It retired in 2012.  I am still amazed that it was only $1.75 at the consignment shop.  That's awesome.   I just love these little dogs.   I looked it up on pinterest and came across a card using a bone.. and thought that is a perfect idea especially for the sketch at:

Now making a bone should be easy, right?  Well not for me, I had to resort to google. Then of course, it was to big so I had to flip the sketch on the side.  Oh yes folks, I tend to act first and think second.   Any ways I do believe it turned out swell.   I colored in the little pups and then fussy cut them out, along with the bone.  I know that sentiment on the inside is an older one too from stampin up, I just didn't look that one up for the year.  I'm going to send this out to my doctor who is retiring.  I hope he will like it.  So sad to see him go.  

I'm also including the morning 6am picture of the moon in my backyard, just over the black walnut tree.   The lights you see on the left are from the train yard.   Hubby was out walking the dog, so hence our yard light was on too.

A Favorite Sentiment

I used 3 different stampin up sets to create this simple card.  Waterfront for the speckles, Work of art for the stripe, and Artistically Asian for the sentiment and bamboo with flowers.  Now I'm not sure if bamboo ever does flower but on my card it will, because it just looks pretty.😉  I actually have two of these plants right now.  I'm taking care of my daughter's, since Charlie the cat decided to do a bit of pruning as in chew it down to nothing, the little rascal.. and in case you're wondering Charlie is fine, the plant not so much.    So back to the card I added a couple little embellishments and then stamped the inside.  I really like how it turned out, and I think for me the most impressive part is the fact that the sentiment is stamped perfectly with the middle sentence on the stripe going across.  WOW~ Had to have divine intervention on that one.

Challenge #261 - Sketch~Riley Weigh in

  I made this card for the challenge at: CAS Colours and Sketches

 

I used another Riley the moose stamp for this card, I can so relate to the image.. the complete surprise and almost "shock" if you will, when stepping on the scale.. and then the memory of the treats.. YIKES.  haha.. I thought that word worked well under that little snapshot picture.

I'm also including a picture of my planner that I decorated for the month of March.  A lot of washi tape and a little stamping, because I don't really have any St. Patrick Day stamps.. only the one little clover in the 17th square.. that's all.  So happy to have the tape.  But I did stick with the color green for the month. 😊

Merry Monday #279 {Poinsettias}~Reason for the Season

 I made this card today for the challenge at: Merry Monday Christmas Challenge Blog

I pulled out my Reason for the Season Stampin UP set and stamped my image, it is a 3 step poinsettia stamp, and is so awesome when it all lines up the way it's suppose to.   I then cut it out and pop dotted it up on the side.  I went with a DSP that had many poinsettias on it.. perhaps to many.  Might seem a big crowded on the card.  I literally "tied" it all together with some left over tulle from my daughter's wedding.  Gosh this works great for bows.   I didn't add any other embellishments.  I figured there was already a lot going on here.😉
