Challenge #266 - Colors~Beautiful You

Oh gosh I came across a card  that I knew I would want to CASE.  So here is the original card at:  Waterlily Papercraft Blog.   I am so excited with how this card turned out.  I chose to use the colors of the challenge at:
I used Stampin' Up's Beautiful you set.  I imagine her dancing her evening away under a starlit sky, with a few dazzling diamonds shining brightly.   I colored her dress in the rich razzleberry multiple times to give it a rich deep color.  I used the calypso coral and old olive colors on the side with the sentiment.   I put a little dab of pearl paint on her dress to represent the belt.   I've always loved this set, but when I came across that card, it just seemed to open up even more possibilities  in my imagination.  So YAY for sentiments as background❕
Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.  I hope you will take a moment to look around at all my other cards, projects and pictures.  Perhaps even sign up to follow my blog. I'd love that. 💜

Tuesday Morning Sketches #447~Waterfront Stampin up

Ok... Folks I had to make one more card for the challenge at: Tuesday Morning Sketches
I tried this technique I came across but I don't know the name of it.  You simply take markers and swipe them across your acrylic block, give it a little spritz of water and then put you card stock on top of it, hence the stripe colors of the blue/orange/yellow.  after looking at it I wasn't to thrilled but still thought I'd try and work with what I had made.  So I pulled  out my Stampin ups Waterfront set.  It's truly not one of my best cards with this set, but nevertheless I wanted to showcase it, mostly because well that sweet little sail boat sitting on the twine.  How cute is that?  It was a button, and I just clipped off the back and glued it down.
I hope you will take a look around my blog and see a few of my other cards, projects and pictures.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #447~Happy Mothers Day

Well I tried for the first time today to make a card using the "black magic" technique.  Of course it turned out like all my other pinterest try outs. Nothing to exciting and fabulous.  I should make a board on my personal pinterest page with real pictures on how I failed at it.  BUT.. I am going to keep trying because I think it could be sweet.  Just need to find the right set to work with, and by golly I found a video that uses one of the sets I have on hand.  Yippee❕
For today's card I used washi tape and embossed the background with leaves.  I also used a single stamp for the daisy and dandelions and after stamping it in white, I colored in the daisy with water color pencils and then highlighted it with my white gel pen.  I stamped the little bee(from a lawnfawn set)  on black paper so I just had to color in the yellow stripes.   I suppose it's not to shabby for my first try.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:

Merry Monday #284 {Red and White!}~ Santa's Sleigh Stampin UP

I made this Christmas card for the Challenge at:
I used my new stampin up set called Santa's Sleigh.  I love it.  I waited quite some time before ordering this set, but boy am I happy with it.   It's so cute.   I even tried to do a little photo shoot with the finished card.  I'm not so good with the props and such, or for that matter even taking pictures is always a challenge for me.  One out of about 25 might turn out.   Any ways Onto the card.  I die cut the sleigh and glued it down, washing my hands an obscene amount of times because of sticky fingers.  *sigh.   Then I stamped the sentiment and the presents.  I cut each present out and stacked them in the sleigh.. already for Santa.. one might say I was Santa's elf today.  I completed the card by adding a few white pearls to a couple of the presents and carrying the theme to the inside of the card as well.
Oh I Love making Christmas Cards, and it even looks like Christmas time around here with the foot of snow we received on Tuesday.

Sketch 258~Language of Friendship & Bold Blossom Stampin Up

You will find my CASology Guest designer card >HERE<.
****************************
Today I made a Thank you card for my daughter.   That I will submit to the challenge at:
This is a square 4  1/2 inch card.  I used two stampin up sets.  Bold Blossom for the stem of the flowers and the butterfly for the envelope.  The other is Language of Friendship and I used two of the flowers from that set.   I chose those flowers so that I could color them in with my new markers that my daughter gave me for my birthday yesterday, along with a few other gifts you will see in the one picture.  The DVD is one of our favorite movies, I love classic movies like I love old cars, also that cute little minion that I've named "daisy"  ya all might see her from time to time in my card pictures, then the   two copic markers.  How awesome❕   I'd also like to point out that the presents and card are sitting on the tissue paper that she wrapped my gifts in, and did you notice I added it to my card?    I die cut the word thanks out so you could see a bit of it shining though.. but it didn't seem to be enough.  I also used the die cuts and put them on top for dimension, and shadow.   I then cut strips of the tissue paper and folded it back -n- forth to give it that ruffled edge look.

Being the card is small and square, I had to make an envelope for it too.  SO here are a few pictures of that.   I think it turned out cute, and fit the card perfectly.  YAY.
Well Folks I  am also tacking on a few pictures of our snow storm yesterday.
                                 We got about a foot.

Start~Beautiful Ride

I'm so excited to be the:

And on my Birthday too.  That is just one nice Big Surprise to me.

I had no clue what the cue word would be when I agreed to take on the challenge and so when I got "word" of the cue card.
I immediately thought of cars.  As in:  "start your engines"
I went with my stampin up set called beautiful ride.   I decided on a background color of orange, so when I stamped the little volkswagen bug.. I stuck with the orange color, however, it didn't seem to pop as much as I had intended, so I made a circle stencil and then sponged it for some background color giving the bug a much better pop.  I also thought the sentiment was very fitting.   So I wanted to only show half of the car image as  it is "start-ing" out for the Journey.

I'm also including a picture of the Easter treat boxes and bags I made for our family.  I think our kids liked them.  I know they really liked the candy inside.

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit.  I'm looking forward to seeing all the creative ways you can use the cue word "START"

RRCB83 & Birds!

I made this card today for the               challenges at:                           Retro Rubber Challenge Blog

Seize The Birthday                        Optional theme "Birds"

I used two stampin up sets.  The oldest is from 2011 called Language of Friendship  and I used it for the bird and the flowers.  The other set is a bit newer called Best Birds, and I used that for the sentiment.    After coloring in the birds and flowers I punched them out.  I really like the DSP, but on the picture the gold looks brown.  GRRR.. It truly is why I went with the gold ribbon and also included a picture of the golden sunrise this morning.   I think it all went together lovely, ya can almost hear the little bird whistling a ♪Happy Birthday♪ tune.
Thank you so much for popping in for a visit.
