Sketch 254~Water Color Wings & Border builders Stampin UP

Well, today it just feels like spring is in the air.  It's in the 30's and the sun is shining.  So when I came across this lovely challenge at: Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge
I imagined a scene with all summer/spring things.  So I created this card with two stampin up sets.  Watercolor Wings for the butterflies and sentiment  and two step stampin Border Builders for the row of flowers.    I added a few enamel dots and pearls to give it a little bling.
I just wanted to announce that I finally made old fashion fudge the way my mom did, and bless her heart I used the canned milk that dad gave me the other day, because mom had it on hand.  By golly folks it turned out and it was scrumptious.  I think she'd be proud of me.  Mom wasn't a cook or baker, but fudge she could make, and that's the one thing I struggled with in the kitchen.  I've made all kinds of fudge.. but could not ever get this one right, until now.   Believe me it's not for the faint of heart, this is some intensely sweet fudge.  It's hard candy that melts in your mouth. My favorite. If you're interested in the recipe. Let me know.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
Keep Smiling and Keep Stamping

  1. This card makes me feel like Spring really is coming even though we are getting another Noreastern Monday - UGH!! Love the DSP you used - one of my favorites. I love fudge - especially peanut butter. I have a recipe from my Aunt that I must find now - you made me hungry for it!!

  2. Beautiful butterflies and I love the shine. Loved your fudge success story as well. My grandmother made fudge all the time, and I'm the only one who still makes it. I have her wooden 'fudge' spoon (over 60 years old now!!)

  3. Beautiful background papers and butterflies! I would love to have your fudge recipe. My grandma made wonderful peanut butter fudge cooked in an iron skillet. No marshmallow fluff..and it was amazing. Glad you had a good experience.Thank you for playing along with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!

  4. Gorgeous card, PJ! I am a big fan of foil accents so I love that background paper but the stamps are fabulous, too! Great take on the sketch and pulling all your elements together so seamlessly. Thanks for sharing with us this week at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
