Goodness gracious I'm losing the Blog Bug, I just can't seem to keep posting like I use too. I am sure it has a lot to do with the fact my daughter and her boyfriend moved in with us, so not as much free time, but I'm not complaining, it's so refreshing and nice to have them here. I am not so lonely then. The other issue I think I have is that when I search pinterest I notice all the fabulous cards and become overwhelmed with my lack of ability, and so become easily frustrated when every card don't turn out as a masterpiece (wink wink) I am sure that a stampin up purchase will ignite the flame of creativity again.. just waiting for the budget & hubby to give me the ok.
With all that being said, today's card is a little shaker card using a dollar stamp from the Michael's store, and nail glitter from my daughter, the sentiment is from lawn fawn. and of course I feel like the embossing bubbles works well with anything sea/fish related.
My second card is all stampin up stamps but I used this really pretty metallic paint from Michaels to highlight the petals. I will need to practice with these little bottles.

I sometimes have trouble keeping up with the blogging world too! Learned to just take the seasons of life as they come and not stress about it. The main thing is to enjoy your hobby....love your cute shaker card, it's so adorable!
ReplyDeleteOh Thank you so much for the lovely comment. Wise words, for sure this is a season of life I was not prepared for yet again. Just trying to handle things as they come, and stamping is a wonderful stress reliever.
DeleteWhat a cute whale! It looks like it is swimming in the water with the shaker card! Great job! I have never used that metallic paint. Interesting look - I really like the verse!! I know what yo mean about blogging. My daughter and 2 granddaughters moved in 2 years ago and I have no idea where the time goes. Thanks so much for your lovely comment. Jennifer and I are sick, me with bronchitis - gotta love daycare!! Joe is doing good! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sweet words. I am thinking we will be having house guests (our kids) for quite some time. I just hope we will have enough room we live in a very tiny house 945 square feet so it's a squeeze, but it will be fun, at least that's what I tell myself. I hope you and Jennifer are feeling better. Glad to hear that Joe is doing well. I use to do daycare in my home, I miss it so much. Praying for a little one to watch again.
DeleteGreat colors on the shaker card. I was glad to read your post today. I am currently thinking of starting a blog but am fearful of that very thing .... Losing incentive and creativity. I hope to give myself a break if (when ) that happens to me. So give yourself a break and enjoy your family!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the kind comment. You should start a blog, it's really fun and fulfilling. For me personally I just have to stop comparing myself to others and do the best I can, and post it. Please share your link of your blog with us so we can all have a chance to follow you when you decide to start blogging. Best wishes and thank you for stopping by my little humble blog. ☺
DeleteWhat a great shaker card PJ. You certainly do seem to pick up some bargain stamps.
ReplyDeleteI feel much better for having taken a little break which ended up being longer than I'd planned. However I now have a tidy environment to work in which I'm really enjoying but I'm sure I'm going to forget the new places I've put stuff!
I'm sure you'll enjoy having your daughter and her boyfriend around. It sounds as if your daughter is very encouraging. Barbxx
I try Barb to find some good bargain stamps. I'm so happy you took a little break, I think everyone needs a little time for themselves. So exciting about the tidy environment to work in. I know when I clean out the clutter I feel better. It sounds like you have an amazing stamp studio. I just have a super small space, it was our porch but it works well, because I don't have many stamps and supplies. Yes ma'am my daughter is a delight to have home again. I'd love for my son to come home too, but I know as adults they want their own places and our home is so small, it gets a bit crammed with the kids and their friends. WELCOME back to blogging ☺
