Happy SCS (Scripture Card Sunday) Today I made a bright bold card for the in living color challenge at: Retro Rubber Challenge Blog. I used stampin up Mixed Bunch from 2013 the center flower, and Seeing spots, 2006 for the background. My scripture verse is just a single stamp that I've had stashed among my SCS stamps. I keep them in a separate little box.📦
I began by thinking💡 I wanted a little flower 🌼or the center. I even cut out the card underneath to drop it in there, but it just didn't look so nice, so I went for bold and big. Then trying to place that little round rivet in the middle was another challenge, the first attempt went wrong, so I had to pull it off and in doing so ripped the flower petals. grrrr.. But I was determined, so I tried again and it worked. I think it's a cheery little card. 😉
I wanted to share the progress of my newly planted little 🌻sunflower in the egg shape container. Gosh it's growing. So exciting. These really would make lovely little gifts for kids just starting to garden.. and since I'm such a kid at heart. 💗 It's perfect. You can see the start up video and package here at: Sunflower. Thank you so much for visiting me today. Please stop back soon. Take a moment to browse around and see my other projects too.
Keep Smiling 😊 Keep Stamping
It is indeed a bright and cheery card! I especially like the spotty background - glad you inked up those old stamps! I thing the green mat you've used brings all the elements together really well. Thanks so much for joining us again at Retro Rubber for this colour inspiration challenge.
