I've gotta say, it's looking a bit like a pink festival here on my blog today. I always like how well black card stock makes the pink just pop! So that was the plan with this card. The bird looks like there could be a tint of purple, but I assure you it's pink, I think the watercolor pencil mixed with the black ink.. and gave me a tint of purple.. Any ways then I started thinking.💡. (YIKES) and was wondering are there even pink birds, well besides the obvious flamingos so had to take a break and google that. The stamp set is Best Birds from stampin up, and the birthday sentiment is from the dollar tree. I used a strip of decorative floral washi tape to give it some character.
I also included a picture of my 25th wedding anniversary flowers my hubby got me. These were delicate little blooms mixed with the pink roses.. you might be wondering if pink is my favorite color. It is my favorite rose color, but not my favorite color. 😉 I'm going to submit this card to the sketch challenge at: Global Design Project
Thank you for spending some time with me here. I'd love to read your comments and have you become a follower, I'd return the favor as well. Hope you have a great day.
Keep Smiling 😊 Keep Stamping
What a pretty card - your bird looks lovely to me! Sorry I haven't been around lately. You can read my gruesome story on my blog!! At least I feel like sitting upright again!
ReplyDeleteA bright and beautiful Best Birds project, Patty. Amazing how you were able to create a new colour with your watercolour pencils and ink! And the black and pink certainly pop. Thankyou for sharing your project in the gallery for this weeks GDP Sketch Challenge.
