#GDP086~Pink

I've gotta say, it's looking a bit like a pink festival here on my blog today.   I always like how well black card stock makes the pink just pop!  So that was the plan with this card.  The bird looks like there could be a tint of purple, but I assure you it's pink,  I think the watercolor pencil mixed with the black ink.. and gave me a tint of purple.. Any ways then I started thinking.💡. (YIKES) and was wondering are there even pink birds, well besides the obvious flamingos  so had to take a break and google that.   The stamp set is Best Birds from stampin up, and the birthday sentiment is from the dollar tree.    I used a strip of decorative  floral washi tape to give it some character.
I also included a picture of my 25th wedding anniversary flowers my hubby got me.  These were delicate little blooms mixed with the pink roses.. you might be wondering if  pink is my favorite color. It is my favorite rose color, but not my favorite color.  😉  I'm going to submit this card to the sketch challenge at: Global Design Project
Thank you for spending some time with me here.  I'd love to read your comments and have you become a follower, I'd return the favor as well.    Hope you have a great day.

Merry Monday #246 & SSC152 SKETCH FUN

I'm playing along with two challenges today.  I just couldn't resist the Night before Christmas Challenge at: Merry Monday Christmas Blog

and also the sketch challenge at: Sunday Stamps Blog  I used a lovely cable knit embossing folder to give my card a warm Christmas feel, and then I stamped the cute little mouse and Christmas tree with a sweet n sassy stamp set.  I water colored the image, cut it out to the best of my ability, and after that I used some washi tape that said No peeking and adhered it to white  card stock so that it showed up better.  I used pop dots to give it a raised look.   Gosh I think that little mouse is adorable.
Thank you so much for spending some time with me here.  I'd love to have you leave a comment and sign up to follow my blog, I would enjoy returning the favor to you as well.

PCC#242: Color Challenge~BEST BIRDS

Well I did my best to work with the colors at: Paper Craft Crew Challenge we are to use: Reddish Pink, Pale Yellow, Coral, and Deep Blue. and it was quite the challenge for me.  I always struggle with colors that I'm not use to combining but it helps a gal think outside the box.. or color wheel for this instance.   Then I think to myself if I had every ink color known to stampin' up.. I'd be a successful artist.  Haha.. like my water coloring this bird here.. I think I'm a Picasso and then before I know it the paper is soaked and it shreds and looks like something an elementary student would color, well it goes with the cutting here too I suppose, since I don't buy the framelits.. (trying to save a buck)  I have to fussy cut them out.. so my lines aren't straight here either, needless to say.. I LOVE stamping so it's all in good fun.  Insert big smile here.
I sure do appreciate you stopping by my humble little blog, I'd love to be friends.  So please leave a message and sign up to follow and I can return the favor.   Take a browse around my blog to see my other projects I've been working on.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #401~KOALA

This is so exciting because my dear friend Nancy inspired me with her last card to search out this cute koala bear..you can check out her delightful card here at: Nanny's Pansy Patch  So much to my surprise the stamp came in the mail today.  Then I found this fun design at: Tuesday Morning Sketches and knew I'd want to play along.   When I received my stamp in the mail, the ebay seller also sent along this fabulous paper, so I incorporated that into the card too.  I think it turned out cute.  Gosh he's such a sweet little character.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.  I'd love to hear from ya.   Sometimes I wonder if anyone is out here.  I know I keep trying to add new cards in hopes to reach more friends, and also because I LOVE making cards.

Challenge #82~FLOWER & KISS CHALLENGE TECHNIQUE

Goodness Gracious, I  couldn't stop adding the flowers.  This is a new technique to me, and I didn't want to leave one of these little beauties out.. so they all got placed on the card.  haha..  Have you ever heard of the kissing technique?  How super fun.  I used a variety of colors, and it was always a surprise to see how they would turn out.. kind of like dying Easter eggs.  I used the flower set I pictured below and also the wooden stamp, it's about 2x3 inches in size.. the picture was cropped so it looks much bigger.  I inked up the flower first, and then inked up the wooden stamp and stamped in right on the flower and then onto the paper.  I then cut out the flowers and on three of them I curled the edges.. added a bit of brads and glitter glue.  It's actually a bit to much for my liking but as I mentioned early I wanted to showcase all these delightful little petals.     I'm going to submit this card to the flowers and kissing challenge technique at: Time Out Challenges Blog

Thank you so much for spending your time at my blog.  Hope you will want to leave a comment and take a look around and see what else I've been making.

THANK YOU FOR A FRIEND & ANNIVERSARY FLOWERS

Hello friends... Hope you're having a wonderful Wednesday.
I'm so excited to share with you all this card..it is a new stamp set I got from Stampin UP, courtesy of my beloved friend who gave me a gift certificate from my stampin up demonstrator.  Omgosh, such a beautiful surprise an
amazing blessing.    I was able to get a set of markers for the very first time, 2 ink pads and the scalloped punch. I'm so grateful for her, I hope she likes the card I made her.
I'm also picturing the flowers my dear husband gave to me for our 25th wedding anniversary.  What's so amazing about this, is the friend I mentioned early.. we share the same wedding anniversary💝  That's pretty neat.  My sweetheart knows I'm a daisy gal all the way, but if I'm to receive roses, my favorite rose color is pink .. so yay he done did super good.  So blessed to be his wife.

Thank you for spending time with me today at my blog.
Hope you come back soon. I'd love to hear from you.

MOTHER'S DAY CARDS

Here are a couple Mother's day cards I made. Nothing fancy, just plain and simple.  The orange one is for my mom and the green one is for my hubby's mom.  I used the remarkable you stamp from stampin up, with some patterned paper from the Michael's store, and a little square of glitter paper.    I think I will be giving them a few products from the craft fair since that didn't happen.
I knew I'd find a good use for it.   😉
Did you all notice the new tab I added to my little bar across the top?
OH boy, I came across a new idea I thought would be fun to try and I immediately thought of my dear blog friend Nancy, I think it would be a fun idea to do with her grand daughters.. so here is it... drum roll please.. stamping on shrink dinks and then turning them into bracelets or key chains, back pack tags etc.  How super duper fun.  I really want to try this.  What do you think?
Thank you for spending your time with me here at my blog.
