Sketch #416 Wonderful As You

Oh gosh, when I made this card I was thinking of 

my kiddos.  They are amazing young adults, but 

nevertheless, mama's worry.    I'll share a short story. 

My daughter moved out to VA to be with her boyfriend

at the time.  Who is now her husband of 3 years and counting

Bless their hearts.  But it was hard to see her go so far away.  

Then they moved back to WI.  and settled for a few

years.  That bought a house, doing great and decided time for 

another adventure, so they headed out west.  Oh my friends, the 

day came for this and I put a smile on my face.  

Our son, and his girlfriend helped them drive

over 2000 miles out west to Vancouver.  

That morning bright an early while the neighborhood

was still sleeping I watched all four kiddos drive away.

It was raining and I had tears streaming down my 

face. I'm a broken woman and can't offer any help 

to them. So i'm so grateful they stuck together and 

helped each other.  However, by myself in my car I sobbed

thinking goodbyes are so so hard and it hurts so bad.  

But they must live their lives.  

My story has a happy ending. PRAISE the LORD

Last November they drove home.  They flew my 

courageous son and his girlfriend out there, so he 

could drive the big uhaul and trailer home and they'd

follow in their other car packed with household items.  

My poor daughter was a nervous wreck because the 

weather was terrible when they got to the mountains,

and she wanted to turn back, but my son, just said 

let's keep hauling we got this, slow we go, but no turning

back.  He even had a flat tire on the flat bed trailer he 

was pulling behind that truck. I hadn't heard from 

them for a few hours and this mama was getting nervous

and then the texts came they had pulled over at a 

hotel and had made it safely out of the mountains.  

Thank you JESUS.   Now all the our kiddos are in 

the same time zone for now.  All that to say I know 

how hard it is to say goodbye.  Some goodbyes 

don't have a happy ending here on earth, and some 

might seem quite final like death, but just know

that there is HOPE  and Heaven is our home. 

((HUGS)) to all those who are going through something

tough right now.  You're not alone.

Did you notice I wrote the word: Taxi on the top of the 

car, and also NY for the license plates?   I like little adding

fun little details like that.  

Health news:  My blood pressure is all wacky and

so they want me to increase a dosage of the Rx I'm on.  

I don't know how increasing it will help since just taking 

one pill is already raising it considerably I get filled 

with anxiety thinking what two pills will do.   

I've made an appointment with a holistic doctor person.

not sure how I feel about seeing such a person, but I'm 

going to give it a try and see what they say in regards to 

these autoimmune diseases.  Have any of you ever used

holistic doctors before?   Please share your advice. 

Sorry I ran so long with this post.  I just get all emotional 

when I talk about my kiddos.  I just love them so much.

ABC Christmas Challenge: H & I ~ Winter Wonderland

Awwww My favorite kind of cards to make 

would be Christmas.   I have the lovely

Christmas music playing,  I think it  

helps lower my blood pressure.

I love the frosty windowpanes, as you peak

inside this window,  to see the tree, one can

 imagine a toasty fire crackling in the 

fireplace with stockings hung on the mantel. 

I used clear wink of stella to add some sparkle

to those icicles.  Our old house gets some 

HUGE icicles.

Challenge #202 Happy Mail~ So Sentimental, Jar of Flowers, Snailed It, Stampin Up

Hello, what a lovely day to make "happy mail"

The lilacs are just starting to get some little 

green leaves, and a few buds are starting to 

poke up from the ground.   I have to 

remind myself, most likely it will snow 

again.  But I'm going to enjoy this warm weather. 

So I made a bright cheery card that I will submit

This thank you is for my daughter and Son in law.

They gave me the sweetest birthday gifts.  
I feel so blessed to have such a loving family.  

My daughter particularly loves rainy days so I 

think she is going to like this card.  

The stamping and coloring is pretty straight 

forward on this card, nothing tricky or fancy

just nice simple clean lines.  

I wanted to say thank you to all those who wished 

me a happy birthday and also thank you to those 

who have been praying for me.  The echocardiogram 

came back good.  PRAISE the LORD.  Just have to

work on controlling the Blood pressure and my 

anxiety.  So that should be interestingly difficult.

With all that is going on in the world and overlapping 

autoimmune diseases. oh Happy day..  

Any ways just a big thank you to you all.  

And also someone asked about this card awhile ago..

I used the simply succulents from stampin up, and the

matching die set that goes with it  (potted succulent dies) 

to create that background.

I honestly bought it for that die.  It's pretty fantastic.

Sketch #415~ Whale Done, Stampin Up, Thank you

I really need to get with the program on my 

thank you notes.  

I made two identical ones like this one here.  

They are for my kids.  

You see this past Easter Sunday, the little 

darlings all came over and had dinner 

with us and then we planned on sitting 

outside by the campfire because it was 

glorious out.  Especially living in WI.  

Well the little sweeties all volunteered to rake our yard

for us.  What a lovely team effort.  It's a whopper

of a yard, and well I can't be of any help anymore.

So it was a HUGE blessing.  I will share a video. 

I think the kiddos will like it.

Sketch #414 Prayer Journal

I made this prayer journal for the 

challenge at:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

I was in desperate need of a new

prayer book.  So I decided to make 

one using a steno notebook.

I got rather lazy and didn't do the spiral part.

I know there is a way, I just didn't feel like 

doing it.   Had a lot going on this week.  

Turned the big 50 on April 3rd.  

The doctor put me on Blood pressure

medicine and now it's worse then before. 

Had to have an echocardiogram because they 

are concerned about my heart.  

Then started another new pill, and that's doing

the same thing.  Oh Joy.  This is frustrating. 

So when I started making this prayer 

journal my dear husband says to me, 

Don't forget to make a tab for PJ 💗

That was so sweet of him.  SO 

I made my tabs and included one 

for me too. 

This is what my craft desk looks 

like the majority of the time.  

I was having one of the days then

when my hair wouldn't tie up nicely,

and well folks, I just don't even

care anymore.   So it's as the 

young folks would say, " a hot mess."

haha

HP is getting back to normal

handling life well.  Love how he 

props his little head up in his 

kennel.

I turned the little snail into an elf.  How cute is 

he carrying a load of gifts back to his, "fir tree house"

decked for the Holidays with lighted garland.

That santa hat fits him perfectly even with eyebrows.  

I also love how those opal rounds look awesome on

the mushroom.
