I'm submitting my wedding card to the challenge at: Freshly Made Sketches
I started by making the polka dot ice cream cone card, and realized that the challenge had a few of those already.  SO I began looking around my porch to find a stamp set I could use.  I found this little wedding cake and sentiment.  I think it turned out super fabulous with the pattern paper.   It's elegant and simple.  I don't know how I pulled it off.  Wink wink.
Gosh I've got another idea already again, such a great sketch to work with, and I'm loving the square cards.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  Take a look around my blog, perhaps you would like to be a follower too, that would be great.

Challenge #272 - Colour Splash Challenge~Pedal Pusher

I  wanted to make one more card for the challenge at: Use Your Stuff Challenge Blog we are to use black and white with a pop of color.  So I chose this tandem bike from stampin up called Pedal Pusher.  I thought a basket full of red hearts would be delightful.  My daughter and fiance have a tandem bike and it's all decked out, in fact her man is working on a battery pack for it to help them up the hills and such.  They are so cute on it.   I started this card off with patterned paper but then I just wanted to go super simple and clean.  I stamped the bike, colored it black, the hearts red, and then cut it out and pop dotted it up for some dimension.   I think it turned out pretty cute.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  It would be awesome if you signed up to follow my blog.  For some reason I'm obsessing over the number, but I'm grateful for each one of you.

Challenge #272 - Colour Splash Challenge

Oh gosh, I'm so excited to find a new to me challenge blog.  This one is called: Use Your Stuff  and it's a colour splash challenge.  Black and white with a POP of color.  Let me just say how fun this is.  I made a lovely leaf card with black and white patterned paper and the images I stamped are from Close to My heart and called Autumn.  I did add a bit of clear glitter on the leaf to give it some shimmer.  I also wrapped a white ribbon around the center of the card.  I've not found any challenge rules on the blog, so I'm not sure if all stamps are ok, and if we can enter twice, because I already have another card in mind.  *smiles.    might just submit one more after I finish blogging here.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I would love to have you follow my blog. Please check out my other cards and projects too.

RRCB67~Everyday Expressions with Tulips

I made this card for the fun rainbow challenge at: Retro Rubber Challenge Blog  We are to use rainbows or rainbow colors and as you can see in my card I chose the colors.  I embossed the tulips and then colored them individually instead of sponging over the tops.  I used the sentiment from Everyday expressions a 1997 stampin up set.  I then tied a little ribbon off to the side of my banner.  I also dabbed quite heavily my clear wink of stella glitter pen on each tulip.  I posted both pictures so you could hopefully see the sparkle.  I die cut a little grass so to make it look a bit more finished.
Below you will find a handful of pictures from my side yard.  I'm not so much of a gardener anymore, but I still try a wee bit.  Just thought it would be fun to share some pictures since my card had flowers on it.  Plus the yard is the one nice thing I like about our house/where we live.  It's like a secret.  Honestly when people pull off the 4 lanes in front of our home they can't believe our yard. It is big for being in town and  also that it's pretty nice for being next to a junk yard and train yard.   We have it fenced off too, which is nice.  Someday I'll have hubby take a picture of out front, that's hard for me because it's on a hill, and my balance is no good.  Any ways,  I guess I just wanted to share the blessing with you all.  The noise from the traffic/trains is a completely different story.. So I choose to stay positive, and focus on the yard.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Black & White with a POP of COLOR~ Baroque Motifs

YaY!! this was a fun black and white card with a pop of color at: Double D Challenges

I used Baroque Motifs from stampin up for the black stamped image.  I then embossed the strip of white paper on the left side with the cute flowers before I added the die cut butterfly I chose sparkle paper for the wings, and embellished it with white pearls.   I used a ribbon punch  on black card stock to add some more dimension to the card by the strip  on the left hand side.  The sentiment on top is from the Special Reason stampin up set.
Well there ya have it.  Card number 3 for me on a super busy, very tiring hard day.  I am so thankful to be home.  Tomorrow I think I shall try to tackle my porch and clean up my stamps a bit.  I'll probably end up playing and making more cards, that's what happens every time I try to clean it up.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  Remember I'd love to have  you follow my blog.  I have 65 sweet blog friends now.  That's so super exciting.  I can't even believe it.

Challenge # 403 - Christmas In July~Scentsational Season

It's always so exciting to find another blog challenge to play along with.   So I made this card for the Christmas in July Little Red Wagon Challenge Blog
I used a stampin up set called Scentsational Season for my images, and then I die cut them out.  I added some ribbon and pop dotted them up a bit so they had a nice shadow effect on the embossed snowflake background.    I posted two pictures so you could see the dimension.
Goodness gracious so tired today.  I went with my daughter to look at a banquet hall for her upcoming wedding, then to the store with her, and finally back to the hospital to see my mom.  They removed the lung drainage tube today so that is good, and the pain is now a bit more manageable.    I tried to make us a nice little chicken broccoli supper, but the chicken didn't taste that great, so we ended up throwing in some tombstone pizzas.  All that work grrrr.. Hunter our dog was loving his portion of the chicken.  So there's a positive.
I'm ready for bed, just have one more card to post. I hope you can take a browse around my blog to see the different ways I stamp.
I love sharing my cards with ya all.  In fact going to visit my mom I  dropped off a few cards to random people, it really made me happy to be able to bless someone with them.  I have a lot of cards, in fact my pinterest board has like almost 900 cards I've made.. WOW.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I'd love to have you follow my blog.

Challenge # 174 Christmas in July

I made this for card for the Cardz 4 Guyz Blog where we are to make a Christmas card in July.
I embossed the background with snowflakes and stamped the trees and silent night sentiment.  I highlighted the tree tips with white as to look like snow on the branches.  I then stamped and cut out stars for the tree tops.
Sorry for such a short post, been a long day, and I have a few more cards to share.  So please take a browse around to see them.  I'm so thankful for stamping, it's the way I handle stress/pain.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

#GDP096~Special Reason

Today I made a card for the Global Design Project Blog where we are to CASE the fabulous art work of Tanja Kolar
So with that in mind and also my flowers out front. I went to work on my card.  I chose the Special Reason stamp set.   I copied the layering squares and the twine, I just wrapped it around the whole card instead.  I also copied the sentiment placement below the squares.  I think it turned out lovely.  I'm sharing the two pictures of the card, because on the bottom picture you will be able to notice the glitter.  I brought out the wink of stella pen and applied it quiet liberally to the flower so it would sparkle.  I just can't seem to take a good picture to show it.    Had lots of fun making this card, well all cards are fun. 😉
For my followers and update on mom (Joyce):  Her surgery went well.  They still have a drain tube in her lung to help with fluid for now, but they will take it out in a day or two.  She has to go through dialysis again today, it's so hard on her and I hate to see her have to do it right after surgery but she's on a 3x a week schedule.  Her blood sugar is high, but it's better a bit high right now then low, and when I say high, it's about 240.. some might panic at that number but mom's had diabetes pretty much all my life, so we are use to "her" numbers, insulin 2x a day.  Her BP was high to, that's hard to keep controlled even with her 5 meds, but I am thinking pain don't help that any.  Last night she ended up sick from her pain meds.  So please continue to pray for her, I sure do appreciate it.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #412~The Sky is the Limit

Well folks, I wanted to make one card quick before I head up to the hospital to be with my mom.  This one I made for the challenge at:
This is a stampin up set called The sky is the Limit.  I embossed the background with clouds.  In fact I took a couple pictures to share, one has a bit more shadow so you can it better.  I then used only one strip of washi tape, the rest is the paper that color coordinates with the card, I just used a few different embossing folders on them to give them some dimension.  I fussy cut out the plane and smoke and pop dotted it up a bit.  I was having a difficult time choosing a sentiment and the placement..
so I stuck it high in the sky.

FMS296~Hey Chick

Oh my goodness I'm having fun with this challenge at: Freshly Made Sketches

I actually started by making the bottom card, with the bird bath, but after I was done I noticed I glued it down crooked.  SHUCKS!  But that only means I get to try again.😊  So the card I'm submitting is this little chick card.  I say little because I made my square card small, it turned out to be a 4x4 which means I even made an envelope to match that size. I had a lot of fun decorating it, I just don't know if it will take extra postage to send in the mail.? Any one know?  I like how the chevron which I call zig zag pattern reminds me of when you dye Easter eggs.. then I embossed with the hexagon shape since it reminded me of chicken wire.  So that's what my mind was thinking in the designing of this card.  And personally the chick on the card reminds me of myself in the summer humidity.. out of control hair.  haha.  Love it.

Here is the bird bath card.  Gosh it was cute too, just not straight on my paper.  But wanted to share it on my blog anyways.
Thank you so much for stopping by.

CAS Game #94 & LIS#336 & #337 & SCS

 Today is SCS
(Scripture Card Sunday)which means I try to make an inspirational card for the day.  It's a way of keeping me grounded and sharing my faith.  However not feeling it today, I suppose that's why they say faith isn't about feelings.  Thank God.  Any ways just a lot of things going on here causing some extra stress and added pain.  Please keep my mom in your prayers as she goes in for lung surgery on Tuesday.  With being on dialysis 3x a week her lungs keep filling with fluid so they are going to try and fix the problem.  Then there's my health been going to a doctor quite frequently again, and the only thing I can 100% say is the bills keep adding up.   Plus trying to help my daughter plan her wedding.  So prayers around the table are appreciated. Sorry for the long winded paragraph, just wanted to keep ya updated.
So onto the card.  I'm playing with two combined challenges today. Super fun and fabulous.  Less Is More and AAA Cards

Gosh after seeing all the absolutely stunning/beautiful cards submitted, I don't feel very worthy of adding mine into the entry, but I will try.
I chose blue for my card base, and used stampendous Daisy Thanks for the floral and butterfly imgages, I also used the scripture verse sentiment and that was a single stamp I bought at a craft store.  Now I stamped the verse in black and then embossed above and below it by using my scoreboard.  I then stamped the floral and butterfly image in black and then gave it a shadow look by stamping again with versa mark.  I added wink of stella to the butterfly to make it sparkle, and I used my white gel pen to color the center of the one little flower.  Overall it was a very simple card to make and I enjoy trying to learn the less is more technique.. White space is a good place.

TTTC006~Lots of Love

My third card for today  is one that I made for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I chose the right row down.  I used the stampin up set called Love you Lots.  I cut the little hedge hogs apart because only one fit nicely in my square.   I then wrapped the square with some twine, and used a wood grain embossing folder for the background.  The cute "wood frame" is from a huge stamp that has bears and moose in it, but I cut them out to just use the frame for this particular card.  I colored it in and then put different colored brads in the corners to make it appear more rustic.  It was a work in progress this one, with a lot of trial and error, but in the end I think it turned out pretty cute.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.
I invite you to follow my blog, pinterest (where you will find over 850 projects I've made) and also  Facebook.
