I am going to enter my card in two challenges today.  The first is a color challenge at: Sunday Stamps Blog  The colors were so fun to work with brown, pink and white.   The second is a sketch challenge at: Mojo Monday Blog.   I thought this was a fine design.  I used an embossing folder for the background, and an older stampin up set for the sentiment.  I had to use that new butterfly die again.. I think it makes a marvelous addition to the card.   A few little embellishments to spruce it up a bit and there ya have it.

I didn't have any visitors today in the side yard yet. So I think I will post a picture of my beloved little pup on my blog page,  it is due for an update.  I will get to that this afternoon.

CAMPING #GDP024 and PPA289

Welcome to my blog, thank you for stopping by.

 Today I am trying something I have not ever done yet on my blog.  I am linking up two different challenges.  Good golly I hope I get this right☺  Global Design Project and Pals Paper Arts.   

At Global Design we are to CASE the designer.  So I kept my stamped images to the left of the card, and chose to put my sentiment on the bottom too, like the designer.  

For the PPA challenge I tried to use colors as close as possible to the challenge requirements.  I used an embossing folder for the background.  I turned it upside down so that the embossed image would be in the lower right-hand corner.  I also have no idea the name of this stamp set.  I bought it many years ago.   I hope somebody might recognize it and let me know what it is.  I know it was ordered from a catalog a sweet gal was passing around at Bible study.  Here is one more picture with the flash on↓

I finally had a red bird at my feeder.  But bless my sweet puppy's heart. I was just about ready to take the picture when he noticed him too.  DRATS!!  

 So this is the best I could do.  Gosh I hope the red bird comes back so I can get a better picture.

BUTTERFLY NOTES AYSI125

Welcome to my blog.  Thank you for stopping by.

Today I made a card for:  As You See It Challenge Blog.  I was inspired by a new little butterfly die that I purchased. This seemed like the perfect little accent piece to the sentiment I chose which happens to be from Mama Elephant.    I used a notebook embossing folder added a few sequins and pearls for sparkle and there you have it.  I had to share both card pictures.  I couldn't decide which one I liked better.

My blog wouldn't be complete if I didn't also post a few snap shots of my little fur friends visiting.  They sure appreciate the corn my hubby puts out for them.  They do a marvelous job at planting it throughout the whole yard.  If only we could get them to pant it in straight lines.. and have a real corn field.

WELCOME

Today's card was inspired after I stopped by Snowy Moose Creation Blog and saw there was a card challenge at: Retro Rubber Challenge Blog.  Well by golly imagine my surprise when I found out that such a blog existed.. for I have many old stamps.  Actually sometimes I'm almost embarrassed  because everybody is in to the new. Well not the case here .. yippee☺ So I pulled out my old Stampin up set.  I believe it's called "chill of winter".  I  made a little snow globe scene.    I now have glitter everywhere because I spilled it.  I do this each time I use glitter.. *sigh.  let me just say also.  I now sparkle.  haha.

Today I made another card for the sketch challenge at: Mojo Monday Blog .  I had so much fun with the first one, I thought why not mix it up a bit with another ☺  This stamp set is from Lawn Fawn and just seemed to fit the sketch perfectly.  I used an embossing folder for the background and one little accent pearl.  My goodness such a little embellishment but it works nicely.

As true to my blog I will have to share a few squirrel pictures.

My what balance he displays in this bottom picture.

As you can see they are well fed.

HANDBAGS, PURSES AND SHOES OH MY MOJO436

Today I made a card for the sketch challenge at:  Mojo Monday Blog.   I believe this stamp set is an older stampin up set.  I bought it used at a consignment shop in town a few years ago.  I thought it was so cute.   The sentiment is pieced together.   It was four lines and I only wanted one for the banner.   It didn't turn out to shabby.  I also added a few brads and a flower with a sequin that is barely visible, but I know it's there and wanted to share.  

I also wanted to share some side yard action.    I managed to capture a few pictures of both my little fur friends snacking again.

SPRING TREE

Hello, Thank you for stopping by.
Today I used another stampin up stamp set.   I punched out the little flowers after I stamped them,  and by the way my experienced stamping friends will note that the ink is a bit lighter.. the ink pad is drying up on me, and no refill inks. *sad.   Any ways a few embellishments here and there with a brad and some sequins.  Die cut grass and some twine.  It reminds me of the cherry blossom trees☺

I'm thinking spring, even though it's snowing again.  I will share some pictures of the side yard.  I captured a little of the snow for ya all. 

 Also, one of my little fur friends leaping. 

This little guy making a messing eating.  He would just bite and spit. hmmm perhaps a good way to lose weight. haha..

 Any ways I also snapped a picture of blonde.. who popped on over for a visit today.  Did you ever see a squirrel that color?  Hope you like the pictures.

ALL STAR NURSE and HELLO DEAR

 Thank you for stopping by my blog.  

I am so pleased at how today's card turned out.  I have been seeing for quite sometime on pinterest how they use the owl stamp for all different kinds of projects.   I had to try my hand at the nurse one.  This card is special because it's for my dad who takes care of my mom who is on dialysis at home. 

 Dad is an "all star" nurse.  Hence the embossed star background. I also used my photo snap shot embossing folder.  I think it turned out lovely.    I put one more picture in so you could see the darker tones too. →

This card to the left I made because I wanted to in-cooperate a paper clip. So I made a little cut in the card stock to slide in the clip which I stamped and then pieced together with dimensional squares.  I'm not to pleased at how the deer look, but nevertheless, I do like the paper clip.  I'll have to try a few more techniques to get it the way I like it.

Another picture, and I hope you don't think I am bragging.  I am just so happy the little stamp I ordered came in today.  I wanted to share it with my blog friends. Now I can stamp the back of my cards with this image→

BRIGHT AND CHEERY

Today's card is bright and cheery.  I used the same idea as yesterday, but instead of embossing the background I stamped it.  I got this idea from a friend who sent me a beautiful card.  So I thought I'd give it a try.  The possibilities are endless.  I have so many other stamps I want to try with this sketch design.

I can hardly wait to show you tomorrow's card.  It is so cute.

 Hope you are having a fabulous Saturday. 

  My card today is simple.  I used an older stampin up set, and an embossing folder for the background.  A few sequins and some layering.   I had a total different idea in my head but this is how it ended up.  That happens to me a lot.

It's warming up here today. (or so "they" say)   45 degrees is not warm enough for me,   but compared to the frigid weather we had  this is a nice change.  My sweet dog decided it would be fun to romp around in the mud.  *ugh. sweet fella.  So, I thought I'd share his "mud print"  he was stamping too. haha

Today I made a card for the sketch challenge at:

 Try Stampin' On Tuesday  

 I went a little outside the box when designing it.  I usually stick exactly to the sketch challenges but today for some reason nothing was working out for me,  so I did a bit of layering and such and I think it turned out ok.  I used  the truck set from stampin up and cute little brads for the wheels.

This fella was sleeping on a branch high in the tree outside of his nest.. I think he got the boot.  I also think his face looks similar to a bat ~don't ya think so?

Now Mr. Gray squirrel was not having my freezer burned bagel.. good golly, he's a bit picky.   Apparently so I am.

Today I made a card for the sketch challenge at:  Pal Paper Arts .  I was so excited to play with my new stamp set from stampin up.  I'm not very good at building a "scene" but it's a work in progress, and I rather like how it turned out.  As you can see I couldn't choose a photo (again).   Ahh the struggle is real with me and decisions.   I used an embossing folder for the background and washi tape for the side.   One little banner sentiment to cover up a mistake. that I actually caught before taking a picture.  Yippee for me.

I thought I'd also share a few pictures of my furry little friends in the side yard.  As much as I and my dog watch them, they are always watching us or at least that is the way it appears.

I'm so happy I learned how to put a picture behind the "PJ Project" header up top.  Did you notice?  Do you like it?   I might get this blogging figured out after all.  That's the goal.

I used 3 different stamp sets and all from stampin up.  I sponged the background to make it look like clouds, and water colored the balloons~ well I tried.  I'm not to handy with water coloring yet.
