CCT19 & TTTC018 ~ Critters in the Arctic & Snow Much Fun

I made this card today for two different challenges:

I chose the left hand side of the tic tac toe board.  So that would be: animals, layers, and sparkle.  And my winter sports theme is ice skating.  I used the moose from "Snow much fun" Avery Elle and the ice block and sentiment from Lawn Fawn.  Critters in the Arctic. Gosh I had a fun time making this card.  It was a bit of the ole fussy cutting as I colored and cut out the moose, and then his sweater and iceskates.  I must say the sweater even looks like it is knit.  How fabulous is that?   Lots of sparkle going on here. This was one of my last 3 sheets of sparkle paper.  My choices were orange, pink or this lovely lilac color.. I think I chose wisely.  It's kind of "cool" with the ice and all.  Speaking of ice I resorted to my silver foil paper and stamped it with stazon and it worked. YAY.  Then  I cut it out carefully so as not to smear it.. I just didn't trust the ink would "staz..on" haha.
I had to share a picture of HP.. he cracks me up.  I was taking a picture of my card, which of course I always show him my cards when I'm done making them.. but after taking the picture today he peaked around the pillar as if to see what next.  aw~he melts my heart.

CCC #23 ~ Merry Tags Framelits

Gosh I truly love making Christmas cards.  This one I made today for the challenge at: Christmas Card Challenge Blog

The purple and silver work fabulously together. So royal and elegant.  However taking a picture with this silver foil paper is extremely difficult.  I took the top picture with my camera, and my daughter stopped by and took the bottom 3 with her fancy phone.     I only stamped the sentiment which is from Merry Mice, stampin up.  However I masked off part of the stamp to make sure I only stamped the words I wanted.   I also used Merry Tags framelits.  I wish I had the matching stamp set for this one, but I do not.  I think it still turned out lovely.   A little extra sparkle/shine with the silver twine. (did that rhyme?)

Merry Monday #259 {Christmas Trees}~Wishing You Cheer

In case you missed my SCS.. I posted it yesterday.  I was a bit early, or in blog land right on time.
Today I made this card for the challenge at:
I needed a little Christmas Spirit in my heart today.   You see I was trying to decorate for fall/Halloween, and I've just not been able to do things like this since surgery, and folks, I tried. But it didn't go well.  After putting up garland around the door frames.. I was done, my back went out and legs throbbing.  I  lost the ability to stand on my tip toes and the funny thing is I'm a very tall gal, so you wouldn't think I'd ever need too, but we have very high ceilings here/door frames.  So even I have too.
Ok.. enough explaining my need for a Christmas card.  So onward.. I used a stampin up set from 2007 called Wishing you cheer.  I cut out the little tree as best I could today, and to give it a little bling I added a few drops of gold glitz dazzling details.  I did try to color in the bulbs at first but  it just seemed to over power the little tree, so hence the gold sparkle drops.  I especially like the layering on this card.  Helps to create a focal point with such small stamped images.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
Hope you will take a look around my blog now that you're here.  Perhaps you will even click that blue button in the left hand column and follow me. That would be awesome.

Sketch 232~Night in Bethlehem

How does one take a picture with that lovely silver foil paper not glaring?   I don't know.  I haven't seemed to master the art of that yet. Oh well, I will keep trying.

I made this card today with my brand new stamp set.  In fact it just came in the mail today.  It's the only one I could order (for now)  and I'm really happy with it.  I can't wait to play around and make more cards.  This particular card I made for the challenge at:
This is a stamp set from stampin up called Night In Bethlehem.  I think it is a lovely set, and I'm looking forward to making many cards with it.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I'm keep this post a bit short because my last one was quite long.   But really quick I just want to shout out and say I'd love to have you follow my blog.

#TGIFC128 ~SCS

I'm ahead of the game here today for my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)  I suppose this is the day I should really be posting it, since then it will be out tomorrow, but I made this card with my scripture verse today and wanted to share it because I'm also entering it in the challenge at: TGIF
When I first saw the colors for this particular challenge I immediately thought perfect for a hamburger card.  But folks I just don't have any burger stamps.. so hence I took a "walk" in a whole different direction. haha.  Using shoe stamps from stamping up and a single scripture verse from the craft store.  I whipped up my ketchup and mustard card with a bit of "bun" color for the "back"ground.  Sometimes I just too silly.   Any ways I had to add a little line of pearls to give it some bling.  Not to shabby.
Btw-if you've been following me the past few days I mentioned I have been having a lot of laptop problems with facebook.  PRAISE the LORD I think I figured it out and facebook was no help.  It was nothing short of a miracle.  After downloading malwarebytes.. thinking that was the problem.. then onto restarting from a different date..which is difficult in windows 10 and that was not the problem.. just added more issues because it re-configured my whole computer.  I changed my password  and that was not the answer.  I did a hard shutdown, and even did multiple scans with my anti virus often..Nothing was working and I wasn't about to down load some weird thing that Facebook told me I had to, because after researching it I found out it is a 3rd party, and can cause further damage... any ways ..You know what worked folks.  I uninstalled Chrome.. and then reinstalled  it. I just pray it stays working.  There you have it just in case you ever run into troubles like that.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Hope you will like what you see and follow my blog.

CTS #242~Fintastic Friends

Well, I'm still dealing with Facebook login problems on my laptop.  grrrr.. So once again I resort to card making to forget my troubles.  This card I made for the challenge at: Case This Sketch
I used my lawn fawn set called Fintastic Friends.  It really made the time go by so quickly. I suppose it was all the coloring.  My sentiment was two long so I ended up just stacking it instead. But, doing this technique, I always end up grabbing the scotch tape on the ink side.. oh boy did I have inky fingers.  Thank goodness for the handy wipes in my desk drawer.  Overall I think it turned out cute.
I also included a few pictures of my flowers remaining in the yard.  I can't believe they're hanging on, especially with the cooler temps at night.
Thank you so much for stopping by.  I hope you will take a look around at my other cards, projects and pictures.  Perhaps you will be encouraged to click on the blue button in the left hand column and become a follower.  I really enjoy watching my blog family grow with friends.

CCT18~Merry MIce & Wrapped In Warmth

Technology and I do NOT get along.  Trying to log into my personal facebook page on the lap top and it says.. NOPE.. some malicious malware or something but I can download something to clear it up.. WELL I've learned not to do that.. what is so funny is the same laptop lets me log into my card facebook page, just not the personal one.  *sigh.  Frustrated😕 If you have any suggestions please let me know.
So it was time for a Christmas card.  They always put me in a happy mood.  Turn on a little Christmas Music and stamp away my troubles.   I wish it were that simple.. I think ignore my troubles is what I do.  Anyways moving forward.
This card I made today is for the challenge at: Christmas Card Throwdown
I used two stampin up sets.  Wrapped in Warmth for the sentiment and Merry Mice for the mouse.  I did a lot of fussy cutting because I stamped him on polka dot paper and had to cut him out and then also sneak in there and cut out the little carol book too.   You might have to look closely but the pink is added on the scarf, hat and mouse ears.  Gosh I think he turned out cute.  I  like how the ric rac ribbon adds a little something "special" to the card.
