Card #39 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
My husband encouraged me to keep trying to stamp.
I really didn't want to..(note the picture at the bottom)
Nothing was going right, and my raynauds kicked in too.
I am hoping my creativity comes back.  My dog
has left my heart so broken that my sweet husband
even has been helping me with house chores.
Let's talk about the card.  This was a tough sketch, at
Notice the card
on the bottom of this post?   The
one with the bright springy/summer/sherbet colors,
well it was too busy for me, so I switched things up a bit.
I chose to use two colors and make it patriotic.
The stamp sets I used were:
Stampin up:  Dandelion Wishes (for the fireworks)
Watercolor Shape(for the background strips)
Repeat Impression( flag/sentiment.  It's one stamp
but I cut it apart so just the sentiment was on the
front of the card, and the flag is on the inside)
The two colors I chose went a long way because
I stamped them off 3x.  So it gave it the look of multiple
colors.  When I finished I thought it looked sloppy,
but then again looks like a basket weave so I let it go.
I cut the sentiment from the flag and cut out the dandelions
and glued everything down.  I popped up the sentiment
to give it some height, and added 3 silver star brads for some
sparkle and shine.

Below is the original card in the background underneath my hand. Had
to wait for my hands to regain feeling and then back at it.
I'm glad I tried again and that my husband encouraged me to do so.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Galatians 5:1KJV
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ
hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Card #38 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp set I used for this card is
Stampin up, trusty tools
I just used the whole stamp set for one card,
not something I usually do.  I tend to play
with multiple stamp sets for the desired card.
But just was not feeling up to it lately.
I do feel the highlight of the card is the
brads in form of screws.
and of course leave it to me to finish
the card off with an upside down
signature stamp in the back.  Sigh.
good thing my dad understands.
Freedom is not free.  Remembering
the soldiers that laid down their lives
for my freedom with a humble and forever
grateful heart.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Eph. 6:1-3KJV
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;
That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

Card #37 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
Hope you are doing something fun
and creative this weekend.
I'm trying, Lord knows I'm trying, just
is taking longer then I had
expected.  Seems that I relied on my
beloved hound more then I even had realized.
I miss him terribly.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
The stamp sets I used for this card are:
Stampin Up:  Mischievous Mice & Borders to backgrounds
I used an embossing folder to give some
texture to the card, and I lightly sponged
over the top so it didn't appear so stark white.
I love how the side strip turned out, I think
that's my favorite part of this simple card.

Below is the latest book I just finished.
It was very good to get myself in a book
and forget my troubles.  I highly recommend this
one.  I'm now on a bit of a Titantic journey as
this is my third book about that terribly
tragic ship wreck.  I have already started my 4th.
The verse I chose for this card is:
2 Samuel 17:29KJV
And honey, and butter, and sheep, and cheese of kine, for David,
and for the people that were with him, to eat: for they said,
The people is hungry, and weary, and thirsty, in the wilderness.

Card #36 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
I will enter this card at:

Pretty straightforward stamping here.
I ended up using about 4 different stamp sets
but it all came together pretty well.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Ecclesiastes 3:4
 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

Card #35 for 2024

Hello crafting friends.
I made this fun card yesterday, however I was
unable to get blogger to work for me.  How disappointing,
I was thinking I screwed something up.
But my daughter looked it up and apparently it
was not me but rather "blogger" having issues.
So thankful for that.
I will enter this card at:
The stamp sets I used in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Cheerful daisies, Bee my valentine,
Flowing flowers
I let the dsp do the work, I just added a piece
of plain yellow cardstock to the center, with a yellow
ribbon before adding the sentiment, flower, and bee.
I do love the little gold embellishments, they sort
of have a honeycomb texture to them.
I've been trying to make sourdough bread,
it's a bit tricky, but I will keep trying.
I have read up on discard and found you
can use it as a fertilizer, so here it is
below.
Shake it up and pour in the garden
or around plants/trees.
You can also dehydrate it and
then give it a pulse in the blender to make it fine
for top soil fertilizing.  At least
that was what I come up with researching it.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Proverbs 16:24KJV
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb,
sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Card #34 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
I will enter this card in the challenge at:
I used the cheerful daisy stamp set
from stampin up for this card.
It might look a little upside down, but it
worked for the sketch so I just went with it.
The big decision in this card was if I should
double stamp the daisies with black ink, but I
chose instead to die cut out a matching piece in
gray and layer it behind the flowers.  I think it looks
a tad more softer this way.
I'm working on making sour dough.
This is my happy little starter today,
I was most excited to see bubbles.
To be honest I haven't been much into
cooking or baking since HP, so this is
a big step for me to keep trying to make
a loaf of this bread.  They say it's good
for a person.

The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 40:8 KJV
The grass withereth, the flower fadeth:
but the word of our God shall stand for ever.

Card #33 for 2024

Hello Crafting friends.
I will enter this card at:
The stamp set in this card is:
Rubber Stamps: Aloe There
I will say it does not stamp a nice clear
image but rather fuzzy.  Which frustrates me,
because I do so much enjoy the puns and the plants.
I didn't have the exact colors mentioned for the
challenge but I tried to stay as close as possible
with what I had on hand.  I made this card
for a friend that gifted me the sweetest
little plant.   It's in a lovely pot too.
If you happen to know what it is, please
let me know.  I do want to
keep it growing.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 61:11 KJV
For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth
the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord God
will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
