RRCB55~Valentine

Today I am sharing a card I made for my Grandma.  I will also enter this in the Retro Rubber Cross My Heart Challenge
I used the Mixed Medley from Stampin up and I believe it's from 2012.  I also used, For the birds set from stampin up and that was a bit more difficult for me to locate a year.  So I went on pinterest and searched cards and some of the blog dates were from 2014 so I know this set is at least that old.  Is there an easier way to figure out the original dates?    I should start writing them on the cases.  I like how some of my older wooden blocks have the year right on them already.  Any ways I water colored the birdies on this card and used my bow punch for the base of the oval, because I had an ink smudge (again) and needed to cover it up... This is a lot of pattern paper for me. I don't usually work with it to much because I'm not very good at it.
However I thought Grandma would like the design.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog, it's always such a pleasure to look forward to your comments and see if my blog was blessed with new followers.
Keep Smiling 😊 Keep Stamping

  2. Hi PJ! I believe your Grandma is going to LOVE this card! Lots of vintage'y designer paper and sweet images! For the Birds stamp set was introduced by SU in the 2012 annual catalog. I looked it up in Splitcoaststampers which is a great resource when you need that information. Just go to the gallery and there is a separate SU tab that will take you to alphabetical galleries based on the title. Hope that helps! :)

Thanks so much for sharing your heart card with Retro Rubber. Always love seeing you in our gallery!

  6. What an adorable card! I'm sure your Grandmother will love it! I love the little birds! It is hard to kjnow what timeframe the stamps came from without writing on them. Thanks for your lovely Valentine Day card. I so appreciate it!

And I love the "For the Birds" stamp set, it's so darn cute.
Your ability to combine pattern paper makes me jealous, it's one of the things I still can't get a hold on.
