#FMS539~Every Chapter, Stampin Up

It is a wet, soggy day here.
What better way to enjoy a rainy day, stamping or reading?
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin up: Every Chapter
The sentiment is a thank you stamp
from Lawn Fawn
This image is one large stamp.  However, I cut it apart
so that it would somewhat resemble the sketch.
I love that die cut strip.  It looks so fancy.
I added a few embellishments around the books.
HP is not happy with  the donut wearing again, but
he's off of prednisone and started licking his paws.
We have some exciting news.
Today we get our new phones.  Because of
covid affecting my eyes so badly, my
husband has agreed to get bigger
cell phones.  I'm so happy.
The bill has gone up so we are going
to get rid of our basic cable TV, no
local stations or anything.  But it
will be ok.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Sketch #476 Wildflower Path

What a wonderfully unique sketch at:
The stamp set I used in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Wildflower Path
I like the vibrant colors on this card.
It's all summery to me.
I thought I made that word up..( summery) but
it's an actual word.
Perhaps I'm too tired to being typing my
blog.  But I made the card and I want
to get it posted.  I added  few little
embellishments around the sentiment.
Speaking of the sentiment (quote)  I love this one.
That green DSP reminds me of grass.
I thought I'd share a picture HP
All snuggled up snoozing.
Also the other day I thought these storm
clouds looked so nice with the green trees.
No big storm, thank the LORD, just a nice
gentle rain.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Sketch 475~Santa's Sleight, Holly Jolly Wishes, Stampin Up

I had that, I'm so excited it's June & summer feeling
so what better time to start a few Christmas cards.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Santa's Sleigh & Holly Jolly Wishes
I used a stencil and sponge to create the background.
I only messed it up like a trillion times.  As you can
see I used one of my mistakes on the inside of the card.
On the top, you can see the stripes didn't line up.  I think
it works ok for the inside, plus I like that you can see
the background a little bit.
I went a bit crazy stamping and coloring
all the little pieces,  I just have to be thankful I
didn't put a Christmas wreath around "Rudolph's" Neck.
Perhaps that would have been too much.   wink.
This was my last big piece of sparkle paper.  I
will have to add that to my wish list.  But it works
so nicely with this card.
Well HP had his vet visit.  It went
well.  We are staying off the prednisone,
The vet was amazing over 50 years of
practice, and he says he sees new things
all the time.  Most likely just as I assumed
it was that awful Covid that got me,
is the same virus that attacked his immune system.
The vet thinks the worse is done, so that
is a blessing, but his loss muscle behind
his eye won't come back, and so we will
have to use eye drops daily for him to keep
the eye clean and we also have an antibiotic should
it become infected, since there is pocket now that
his eye is sunken in.   Such a little trooper.
You know I wish I would have shared Hunter's jouney
from the start.  But I didn't have an IPHONE  until two years
ago.  My kids always said he should have his own page.
Any ways, I bring this up to say I've been trying to make
reels, or posts now on instagram of him.  And Wowza,
the response is amazing.  People love their animals.
Cracks me up, because my cards are nothing grand,
but soon as I put an HP picture out there.  I'm blessed
with responses.  It's so fun to see.  I love sharing our
sweet pupper's cute ways with the world.
I made this delicious chocolate malt last night
and thought I'd share the ingredients in the picture.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Challenge #472~Cactus Cuties Stampin up

How exciting to play with a challenge where
I actually have all the exact colors.
So I will submit my card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Cactus Cuties
I tried so many different sets, and was
about to give up, when I looked on my little
book case of stamp sets and this one just popped
right off the shelf.
That bright green works perfect.
I had to cut out planters for the two little ones,
no measuring just eyeballing it.  Not to shabby.
My ink pads must be old, because they
seem to be falling apart, they are still
inking ok, but the pad itself seems to
have fuzz on it or something.
So after coming up with this card idea,
I laughed to myself, as to why didn't I think
of plants first.  I LOVE plants and have a house
full of them.  I will share a few pictures of my
spring cactus that is now blooming.
It always amazes me.  She is old, and yet
she still blooms.  and Just in time as my
orchid is dropping its gorgeous blooms.
They last for months,  but now
my spring cactus will carry us through with
some lovely color.
HP my pal had to jump up and check out
the plant situation too.  Always the little helper.
He goes to the vet tomorrow to get his MMM
checked out especially his eyes.  Can you believe
this?  Covid attacked our eyes so badly,
Along with other stuff.  I'm thankful we are
alive, and able to talk about it.
It is 20 weeks out today, and still struggling.
and makes me extra sad to see my dog struggling.
Such a pal, I'm comforted by what my family tells
me.  They say Hunter would have stayed with me no
matter what.  So that helps, I just feel so guilty,
because when I had high fevers for the first two
weeks this little fella would lay right next to me
all the time, to make sure I was ok.  and so it
breaks my heart to see him so sick. The reason
he got MMM is because most likely he also
had covid, and his immune system couldn't handle
it and turned on itself, so now he has wasting muscles,
behind his jaw and his eye. He's been off of
prednisone for a few weeks, and so tomorrow
we go see what is the next step.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.

Sketch 474~Game on, Sweetly Swirled, Stampin Up

You know what is so funny about this card, is the
fact that the three panels I stamped all line up
pretty closely and I didn't even try.  I wanted them
to be a little misplaced looking but oh no, they
look as though I had one giant stamp and just
cut the pieces of card stock after I stamped them.
It's little things like this that just amaze me.
Then there was great debate in my mind,
if I should use a pop of color with the playing cards.
Well, after stamping them in black and blue, I
finally chose red.
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Game on, and Sweetly Swirled
My parents  and grandparents use to always play dice
when I  was a kid.  I never learned how.
But card games, that we all played,
everything like, solitaire, speed, spoons,
crazy eights, go fish, canasta, gin rummy etc.
I think speed is my absolute favorite,
and then solitaire for solo playing.
I thought this was such a cute picture of
my darling talking to HP
I think they are telling secrets.  Haha
My columbines are blooming.  They
are so detailed looking.  Love it.
I took this picture last night.  My sweetheart
and I were driving home and the sunset was
glorious, and it was so beautiful with the flag.
How absolutely fitting for Memorial weekend.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.

HSSSC389~On the horizon, borders to backgrounds, blended seasons, Stampin up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  On the Horizon,
Borders to backgrounds, and Blended Seasons.
At first I left everything plain, and then realized
the card needed something extra.  The floral
image just seemed so bold for a basic card.
So I created backgrounds, like the wood paneling with
the gray, and then the splattered look on the sides.
I also cut the floral image apart so I could carry
one little flower to the inside.
I added some ribbon underneath the flowers
on the front to give it some texture, and then
I used a brad pierced through a sequin to poke
in the flower centers to hold them on the ribbon.
I fussy cut out the sentiment, and then popped
it up with some dimensionals.
I made donuts for the family this evening.
and my daughter took this cute picture and
added the captions.

I started two new Rx's yesterday, and my
goodness it has not been a pleasant
experience.  I was so hoping it would
immediately help me feel better, but
yet again, like all other meds, I'm the
exception to the rule.  sigh.

Thank you for your continued prayers and
encouragement as I recover from covid.
And also,  for my dog, HP.
