Simply Happy Birthday

Hello stamping friends.
The challenge at:
Was just that a challenge indeed for me.
My goodness I couldn't get these colors
to work at all with my desired stamp choices.
I tried floral, but for some reason the black berry
bliss just seemed to overpower everything I stamped.
I even tried coloring it with markers, but I still
didn't like the images.
I was just about to give up and decided to
go ultra simple.  It actually made me laugh.  I
didn't have the exact colors, but I tried to match
the best I could.
The stamp set is:  Stampin Up: Happy Birthday to you
The inks are:
Just Jade, Pool Party and Black Berry Bliss
I was happy to have black berry cardstock on hand
to use as the base for the card.
You know after I stamped this I thought hearts would
have stamped lovely with these colors,  I tend
to come up with the better ideas after I've
stamped and pictured the cards already.  sigh.
I wanted to share a picture of these
darling little buds I notices on my
spring cactus.  The ole girl is hanging in there.
So happy when she blooms.  They tend
to last long like orchids.  I think that is
another reason I love them.
Psalm 19:7KJV
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul;
the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.

Snake Plant Thank you

Hello friends.  I had yellow card stock
out to use today, and you can see I went
in a completely different direction.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Plentiful Plants,
A Touch of Ink
Crackle Paint
I stamped the leaves to create the rainbow
look, and then I stamped the sentiment on the
matching green card stock. The flower pot
is stamped on the linen paper from stampin up
then I just cut out the middle to give it a bit
of detail.  Speaking of that, I added a few
little floral embellishments to the leaves.
I wanted to make sure to stamp the snake
plant, because this thank you is for my
dad.   He gave me  the sweetest BD card
and gift of money so I asked my hubby to buy
me a snake plant with it.
And here is the lovely snake plant.
I'm so excited to have one.  I hope it will
grow well here.  Any tips to keep it happy?
 Please share with me.
1Cor. 3:7 KJV
So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that
watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

Anniversary Card

I made this card for my hubby.  On May 2nd
we will celebrate our  wedding anniversary. 31 years.  I'm laughing
right now because I had to ask Robb how many years.
Isn't the wife the one that usually knows?  Well not here,
heck I don't even remember how old I am half of
the time.  But being I just had a birthday in the
beginning of this month, I can remember I'm 52.
By the middle of the summer I'll be 50 something.  haha
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin up:  Sweet Conversations
Conversation Bubbles
Hedgehugs
This card may look simple, but in reality it took
quite a process to get it to this point.  I just couldn't
make up my mind, and I changed stamp sets a
bazillion times.  That might be a small exaggeration, but
there was a great deal of struggle in the decision process.
Then I had to color that little hedgehog.
Oh my goodness another decision, apparently
today that was my struggle, making choices.
At least the fussy cutting wasn't bad, just simple
follow the lines, and not to much thinking.  haha
Here is a picture of HP in the craft room checking out
the driveway and bird seeders.  I call them seeders
because that's what is in the feeders.  It's been a
thing I've done forever.
Now here is a fun book I just finished.  You might
wonder how I read with my eyes.  It's difficult,
and usually after reading I can't do much for awhile,
just wait for them to come into focus, but I'm going keep
reading for as long as I can.  I love books.
Now this particular story is very fun, deliciously smutty
but that's ok.  I love most any books except
science fiction or horror type things.  I got my first
taste of a smut books from my Big Grandma's house,
she had a big stack of these romance novels, and as
a young teenager I use to peek in the pile to read them.
We'd go to Big Grandma's every Sunday, so if it wasn't
that, I was picking up the party line phone and listening
to conversations.  Haha. We didn't have a party line
phone and I didn't realize that wasn't how it was used.
I thought everyone could join in on the conversations.
I soon learned that is not the case.    Gosh I got a little
off track there.  Well any ways, the book is good, and
intended for a mature reader.  It will have you smiling,
crying, and blushing.

You Matter

Hello Friends.  I'm watching the trains go
by trying to think of something to write.
I find it so interesting that I have so much
to always say, but lack the ability to write nice blogs.
Maybe I should do those video blogs, but
they'd be too long, So back to short story blogs
that make no sense and hard to follow my
"train" of thoughts wherever that may lead.
Like a random thought right now:
 I'm crunching down
some veggie straws, they now have
a bbq flavor, which is my favorite.  I love
foods that have a bit of a kick.  Highly recommend
these crunchies.  HP likes them too.  But only a few.
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Petal Park, Happy & Heartfelt
I don't have the new colors, so I just worked with
what I had and chose the Blue, pink and green.
I never know what this fold is called.
but I like how it looks.  There was
a bit of fussy cutting with the leaves
but a punch for the flowers so that was
nice and helpful.   I love the placement
of the sentiment.
Here is HP snoozing.  I love how he
rests his head on his paw.  The little darling.

God; and every one that loveth is born of

Wildflowers & Butterfly Card

Wait to you see the inside of this card.  I'm
laughing because my original plan was to
use a dragonfly.    Well it didn't go very well
with all the other stamping, but guess who
stuck him in on the inside anyways?   I mean
I did go to all the work coloring him so I wanted
to include him too.  haha
I used two stamp sets to create this card.
Stampin Up:  A touch of ink, Dragon fly garden
After stamping the wild flowers side by side and
coloring them all, I lightly sponged over the top with
yellow, and the bottom with green.
I cut them into 5 pieces to lay side by side
on the yellow card stock.
I fussy cut out the butterfly and leaf branch and used
dimensionals to give it some height.  I tied a yellow
ribbon on it because the sentiment was a bit too high
for my liking.  I used scotch tape on the bottom part
of the sentiment, so it wouldn't stamp, and so I didn't
guesstimate it correctly.  haha
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The picture below is of HP.  That sweetheart
was taking a nap so peacefully. I just couldn't resist.
I probably have a hundred pictures of the same pose.
I love how his long fur feathers so nicely on his legs.
If anyone is looking for a good book, check out this
one:  Bridge to Haven.   I loved it.  Had me in tears
and couldn't put it down.

to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more
clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Strawberry Card

It's been raining all day here.  I tell myself, it
will help things grow.  April showers
bring May flowers.  Also it is better
then snow right now.
Although they say we will be getting a few inches
tonight and tomorrow.
I made this little strawberry card for the
challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Sweet Strawberry
I stamped and stamped and then re-stamped
that strawberry to get the sentiment to show up,
and finally I thought why not ink it up with
the stamp and write marker that way I will
only color a few of the seeds and the sentiment
will pop out more.  Finally success.
A bunch of the good ole fussy cutting, but
sometimes it's relaxing to do that.
I was laying on my ice and HP loves to stand
guard over me, he's such a pal. Love those puppy dog eyes.

which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit

Golden Wattle

Hello Friends, it has been so nice here
the past few days I could get use to this
weather.  However, I know living in WI
there will be snow and cold again before
summer rolls in.  But I'm loving the sunny
warm days while they are here.
I think this card reflects the weather,
 bright and sunny.
As I type this I hear birds singing
sweetly even with all the trains.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
Freshly Made Sketches
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Brightest Beauty & Garden Birdhouses
This was a fast easy card to make the main
imagine which I think is a golden wattle, was
stamped and die-cut, then I added some dimensionals
to the back of it and starting working my way up.
I fussy cut the bird house and bird and added a few
embellishments.
My husband chose the background color for me.
I thought a vibrant yellow, or perhaps a toned down
yellow but my darling liked this one.  So I
stuck with it.
Here is our precious little HP, with quite a smug
look on his face.  Why?  because the treats on
top of the frig, is what he is waiting for.  He likes
to give direction as to where they are, with a quick toss
of his head and a bark, not saying he's spoiled, he
just knows what he wants. haha
These lovely little flowers popped up.  Does any one
know what they are?

Luke 8:15KJV
But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest
and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring
forth fruit with patience.
