LIlypad Plant Thank you

Hello Crafty friends.
I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving.
I made this card for my son's friend, she gave
me the most lovely plant, she nicknamed lilypad
I looked it up and it's a Pilea Peperomioides,
Pancake plant or Chinese Money plant.  but
I love the lilypad name,  So that's what I'll call it too.
I included a few pictures at the end of this post.
I used my brick embossing folder and sponged
over it with gray.  I love how it helps the
little vase and plant have center stage to this card.
The sentiment font is perfect.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Varied Vases, Love what you do
Here is the little lilypad plant, isn't she
lovely?   They say it's easy to grow and even
helps clean the air.  I will do my best with her,
and hopefully all my other plants will welcome her
with love.  We need all the natural air cleaners we can
get here living next to the train yard.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Colossians 4:2KJV

Polar Bear Christmas

Hello Crafting friends.
Happy Thanksgiving Week.
I wanted to get one more card out before
the business of the week sets in.
My table needs to get cleaned off, and I
apparently just can't snap my fingers,
or wiggle my nose for it to happen.
So going to have to devote this
evening and tomorrow for tidying up the house.
Thankful to have a home to tidy.
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin UP:  Good Greetings, Brightly Lit Christmas
Beary Cute, Tidings & Trimmings

The most difficult part of this card was
of course the cutting of the DSP.  I am not good
with a ruler, but I eyeballed it up and got it to go.
I chose two DSP and then the other I embossed with
a brick folder and sponged gray over the top so it would
go with the snowflakes, and birch trees.
I stamped the images, colored and cut them out.
I had to shorten up the lamp post it was much longer
then I remembered.  I really like how the little bear
sits with the sentiment perfectly in place.

After the turkey coasters I decided to pull out the
macramé cord and made this odd little ornament,
realizing the ring I used was gigantic after the fact
of making the whole darn tree.
So I snipped it off, and of course
there were a lot of lose ends but I
did the best I could to tie it all
together at the top.
I think the wreath top looks so
nice by itself, I might make more
of those for Christmas gift topper/tags.
I couldn't forget to share a picture of
this little rascal.  He is always flopping
on his bed in the most unusual ways.
Makes me smile.  He will also move his
bed to where he wants it.
The verse I chose for this card is:
1Thessalonians 5:21
Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Christmas Presents & Crocheted Turkeys

Hello Crafting friends.
Can you believe next Thursday is
Thanksgiving?  Oh my goodness gracious,
I got the little turkey coasters done just in time.
I included a picture at the bottom of this post.
I always underestimate how long a project will
take, and I'm quite the procrastinator. So it is
no shock to me when I just squeak in with a finished
product.  Now to address a few cards and send
a couple out to my dear friends.
I made a fun Christmas card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Nothing Sweeter, Beary Christmas
I used wrapping paper for each of the squares
to give it that authentic gift appearance.  Then I stamped
and die cut the presents out.  I kept them all uniform so
it didn't get too busy on the card.  I added a little
embellishment to each bow and some silver twine
on the bottom of the card.  It came together quite
quickly even with glue on my fingers, and tape.  I Had
to have my hubby come assist with my fingers.  I think
all the crocheting made them extra stiff.
HP is snoozing by his toy box.  He made me
smile again today.  He was under the table while
I was crocheting and he was sleeping, his little
paws were just a moving and tapping the chair,
but it didn't wake him up, so I pretended I was
knitting with with all the little clicks he was making.
It would sound like knitting needles.  haha.
I will add the video of HP to my stories on instagram.

Here's my little coasters.
The verse I chose for this card is:
1 Peter 4:10KJV
As every man hath received the gift, even so minister
the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

Christmas Woodlands

Hello dear crafty friends.
Hope this Sunday has you feeling grateful
for all the good things in your life.
I keep a gratitude journal each day, Sometimes the
days are an exact repeat of the day before,  but
I think it helps me to be mindful of all I've been blessed
with, and writing it down just helps me be accountable.
I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets used in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Night Divine, Beary Cute,
Christmas Season
I used two pieces of DSP for the background.  The
one with the trees I cut and then glued them down
exactly as they were but with a space between each
one to create the panels, and yet keep it looking cohesive.
I hope I used that word "cohesive" correctly.  Wink.
I stamped the sentiment, pinecones, branches, and berries,
then fussy cut them all out.  Next was the placement so it
would all fit together.  I wasn't too thrilled with the berries,
but my hubby ensured me that it looked good.  I was going
to use some red embellishments but he said this is better.
So I'm going with it.

HP has himself squeezed between our chairs, and
hiding behind his bed.  This little rascal loves to be
close by us for safety and comfort.  He's a such a little love.
The verse I chose for this card:
Luke 2:20KJV
And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God
for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

Thanksgiving Turkey Cards

Hello Stamping friends, and crafters.
I hope you are getting some time to
to do something creative that brings a smile
to your face and calm to your place.
I've been trying to teach myself more
crocheting patterns.  I just heard about
a temperature blanket and I think I should
start a couple for my kiddos, I think they
would love them.
I made this thanksgiving card for the challenge
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:
Pick of the patch, birds of a feather, for all things
I had a few thanksgiving cards to make, and that's
exactly what I did.  I also made my own DSP my stamping
the background.  I embossed the dark brown vertical
piece of cardstock.  I used a lovely harvest chevron DSP
to which I added the white card stock with the water color
stamped on it, and then I stamped the pumpkins and turkey
on a separate piece of paper so I could cut them out and place
them over the watercolor image.
I added the two little embellishments lower down on my card,
because of the acorns in the corner.  I love all the different layers.
Which color apron do you like best on Mr. Turkey?

I'm astonished that my orchid is giving me
an 8th bloom.  I was so worried after I cut
her airroots.  I'm pleased she is hanging in there
for me. What a show stopper.
Mr. Squirrel just wanted to stop and pose for
a picture.  Look at the cute smile.
The verse I chose for this card today is:
Thessalonians  5:18KJV
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God
 in Christ Jesus concerning you

Christmas Sled/ski Card

Hello Stamping Friends, and crafters.
I need to make a few thanksgiving cards yet, but
I just couldn't resist making a Christmas card for the

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Winter Wishes, Decorated with Happiness,
Beary Cute, Itty bitty Christmas, Night Devine.
I used ribbon for the three horizontal stripes from the sketch.
I thought it gave it a homespun sort of feel.  I then stamped the
snowflakes to match the color on the ribbon.   I stamped,
colored, and cut out the other elements, and I used my little
knife to cut out the pieces on the sled to make it look a bit
more detailed.  That was quite the chore.  I tied the three
little jingle bells to the top of the sled, making it so
festive and reminding me of the song jingle bells.

Here is another picture of our little darling.
I think my phone is loaded with thousands of pictures
of this little guy.  He just is such a pal.
I had quite the dizzy spell today, I thought I was
going to pass out, so I just slid down the wall to
the floor to be safe, so I wouldn't fall, and
HP just came and sat right next to me so I could rest
my head on him and wait until this spell passed.
He is such a comfort to me, being I'm usually alone
for most of the time.
I was putting Halloween decorations away
and noticed the pumpkin I forgot behind
all my plants.  haha
The verse I chose for this card is:
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Thanksgiving/Autumn Card

Hello Stamping Friends.
I'm making a few thanksgiving cards this
weekend.  SO I thought I'd submit this
card to the challenge at:
I stamped the horizontal lines using
the Woven Heirloooms stamp set from
stampin Up.   I then die cut out
the leaves and added them with
dimensionals so I could tuck in some
gold filler leaves.
I really love the details on these leaves.
Lastly is a picture of HP.  Resting his little
head on his bed looking at his toybox.
That is 12 years of collecting various
toys, however since his disease a year ago
he can only manage soft toys, and the poor
little guy gets sad, so he just stays close
by his toys.  So sweet.  He pulls out a hard
chew toy and then sleeps with it.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Colossians 4:2
Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving
