Challenge 411~ Thoughtful Branches, Hedgehugs, We must Celebrate, Stampin Up

I wanted to make a card for the person responsible for taking down our tree.
We discovered it has a huge crack in the center of it.   I will share a picture.   It's going to be a big job, and I'm sure the squirrels won't be happy as they have a nest in this tree, and have called it home all the years we've lived here.
I hope we get on the schedule soon.   With one of the branches looming over the house, it makes me nervous.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card today are:
Stamping Up:  Thoughtful Branches
Stampin Up:  Hedgehugs
Stampin Up:  We Must Celebrate

Thank you for taking time to come visit.

CTS #325~Little Elephant, Perennial Birthday, Beach Happy, Stampin Up

I  ended up making two cards for this lovely sketch but decided the elephants won out.   I actually asked my daughter which she liked best and she too thought the elephant card.  So I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Little Elephant.
I kept things clean and simple, and used soft colors for the little elephants.  I really like how it turned out.

For the second little card, I used the Stampin Up, Beach Happy set, and Perennial Birthday for the sentiments.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge 410~Happiness Surrounds, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
I decided to pull out a stampin up set that I haven't played with much.  It's called Happiness surrounds.  I had a difficult time trying to figure out all the little elements to it.  I love the sentiments, but was struggling on a design, so this sketch came in handy.  Next I needed to focus on colors, I chose wild wasabi, and melon mambo with of course black to pack a bold punch to the card.
I finished off with my all time favorite little golden glitter stickers, I won them, and I absolutely think they are the BEST.  I wish I knew where to purchase them.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

FMS391~My Country tis of Thee, In Honor of D-day, Patriotic Thank you.

Today I made this card in Honor of the heroic soldiers that gave their all for our freedom.  I also did a little research on D-Day, feeling a bit overwhelmed that I didn't really know the full details.  It makes me sad to think that today's younger generations don't seem to know or even care about this historic event that shaped the world we live in.   It  is those brave men and women who came together to fight for liberty.   So this the 6th day of June marks the 75th Anniversary of D-Day.. and with a humble and grateful heart I stand in awe of their bravery.  Thank you.

I'm also very proud of my family.  My Dad, Uncles, Grandpa, etc for they, along with many others have served in the armed forces.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

Sketch #319~Enjoy Life, Stampin Up, Sweet 'n Sassy, Worship the LORD bookmark

What a delightful tag card challenge at:

Of course I turned the tag into a bookmark, however I wanted to make sure the receiver of the card could use the bookmark.  So I created a nice little pocket using clear acetate paper to tuck it in.  I also stamped another little bookmark underneath it, however that one I glued down so it couldn't be removed and would stay with the card.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Enjoy Life
Sweet 'n Sassy: Worship The Lord

I tried to make a little video for you to see my card.  However, be prepared, my videos are quite horrible, as I don't have a clue what I'm doing.  Some have music others don't, and all are a bit shaky.  I use my camera that I take pictures with, and I'm not to steady.   Any ways if you would like to take a look the video clip I've included it below.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

SSC206 SKETCH FUN~ Harvest Blessings, Incredible Like You, Home to Roost, Enjoy Life, Perfectly Penned, Stampin Up

This card I made today for my dear dad.  He will be having a Birthday on June 14th.

Flag Day
That's such a cool Birthday.
Perhaps because I come from quite a patriotic family.   Many family members have served in the armed forces.  It makes me proud.

Any ways my dad loves old cars and trucks, and lately he's been talking a lot about tractors, so I just couldn't resist making this card for him.  His very own little tractor.   This time I "painted" it red, for a Case IH tractor, perhaps next time blue for a ford, or  green for a John Deere.   I think I mostly painted it red because my husband works for a Case IH company.   Then I had to add the little bird in the tall grass, because of a smudge, leave it to me with inky fingers to mess up a lovely card.  grrrr.  At least the bird covers it nicely.

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Harvest Blessings
Stampin Up:  Incredible Like You
Stampin Up:  Home to Roost
Stampin Up: Enjoy Life
Stampin Up: Perfectly Penned
I'm going to submit this card to the challenge at:
I'm also including a picture of our yard.  Summer is my favorite season, and our yard is slowing starting to green up.  I feel so blessed to be able to enjoy it.   As some of you know we live on a very busy street.  Four lanes of traffic out front, a snowmobile junk yard next door, and the train yard, so our little yard is our piece of happy, not quiet, but yet peaceful because it is our space.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Challenge #323 - Sketch~Springtime Stroll, Layering Love, Stampin Up

I have been looking forward to playing along with this sketch at:

However, I've been wrapped up in a book.   Have you ever just lost track of time while reading?  Then as I was nearing the finish I didn't want it to end.  So many little twists and turns.  Gosh it was a lovely read, and a wonderful way to just  forget the pain and reality of life.  Sometimes that's almost better then stamping.  Especially when the book is so grand.

Well, all good things have to come to an end, so back to the craft room for stamping.
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin up:  Springtime Stroll
Stampin up:  Layering Love
I really like how the card turned out.  Simple and sweet.
I added a few little golden embellishments around the bird and butterfly.

I'm also sharing a picture of Pa Duck again.   This time he was going solo,  perhaps he is watching out for  Ma Duck, because I think she is somewhere in our yard with the little ones. (at least I'm hoping).  So we have to be very careful and keep an eye on HP now when he goes to play outside.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
