It was quite a joy to make this card today.

Especially after the Valentine's day card

I made yesterday.  WOWZA, just a bit too busy. 

This card is rather simple and quite elegant looking

in my humble opinion.   It was the first time 

using this stamp set for me.  I love it. 

It don't show up so well, but I used clear wink of 

stella on the dove, and it really sparkles nicely.

SSC248 IN THE CENTER~ Happy Valentine's Day Shaker Card

Well folks, I had this great vision of making

a lovely Valentine's Shaker card.  I thought 

the perfect thing to use would be the Detailed 

Hearts die from stampin up.  Oh yes, easy peasy. 

Wrong.   It couldn't have been further from 

my imagination.  My gosh, the sparkle paper

I used sent glitter everywhere, and then

the little red foil dots I used for the filler, 

just happened to fall all over my work space. 

oh JOY.  

Then before I knew it I was layering and layering. 

You know it was like a cake that a person bakes, 

and dumps out of the cake pan, 

 and then tries to patch it all together

with frosting and smooth out the edges.  

That's my card today,  In my feeble mind I thought

the more I add it will cover it up.    

It did not, and the RED. oh my gosh, there 

is not mistaken this is a Valentine card,

Good grief, I'm almost too embarrassed to 

add this to my instagram, and enter it in the 

challenge but I'm going to just do it.

I'm on a roll making Valentine Day Cards. 

I made this one for the challenge at:

I enjoyed working with the sketch, and so I stuck to it.  I 

love how the arrow goes in the direction of the

 infinity symbol.  So I made sure to incorporate that

in my card as well. 

I am usually not a fan of bright pinks, 

but I think it worked well for this card, 

Perhaps I should have paired it 

with black,  that seems to really pop the 

pink color a bit more.

Challenge # 402 - Sketch~ Heartfelt, Meant To Be, Darling Donkeys, Stampin Up, Valentine Card

I made this card for the challenge at:

I used an embossing folder to enhance the 

horizontal strip.  It's hard to see, but it has 

a lovely crackle look to it.   

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm on a 

facebook volunteer timeout.  Oh my gosh, I didn't 

realize how much time I waste going 

on there.  It's like my own personal 

therapist,  I'm sure friends and family 

are glad not to hear from me anymore.  haha  

However, I miss seeing what everyone is up to.

And I miss posting things like positive quotes,

or scripture verses.

  Two weeks seems like two years.

I did manage to make some M&M cookies for my 

hubby, I'd show you the after bake picture, but 

my darling has ate quite a few, so only about 8

left.  I'm not shaming him in no way, I eat the 

dough, he eats the cookies, we are a great team. 

We gave our equinox a bath last night, and 

I got such a kick out of the big red X. 

X marks the spot for a good scrub down 

apparently.   It's the little things in life 

that make it grand.

Chapstick is usually suppose to go in this

lovely little package, but being I had

M&M's on my mind and was suppose 

to be making m&m cookies for my hubby

I chose to put a few in the little card as well. 

Just wish they were more Valentine colors. 

ooh, those cute conversation hearts would 

have been fabulous.  

I love how the inside of the card has a die

for a rip stick to pull open, so you don't have 

to destroy the whole card to get to the goods. 

Unfortunately I shut down my facebook 

page for 2 weeks, to just take a break,

Hubby thinks it will be good for my 

health.   But I'm still on instagram, so

I'll post my cards there as usual.  

Well I best go make those cookies for my sweetheart.  

Perhaps I'll share a picture in tomorrow's post.

You know I don't think I am using blogger to

this evening I couldn't get the above picture

to load.  So I sent it to myself and then copied

and pasted it for you to see the inside.  

Always something with me and technology.  sigh. 

I love this little donkey set it's so fun.  

It reminds me of the donkey on Shrek.  

I'm such a kid at heart.  

Oh I also wanted to share the big project I've been

working on. 

Look at all those calendars.  I've added them to 

my etsy shop and Praise the LORD I sold two already.

How exciting.  I think they turned out nice this year.

Sketch #401 Nothings Better Than, Stampin Up

 

Happy New Year.  I know we are three days in.  

But I'm going to celebrate it all January.  

So this is my first card of the New Year.  

I love chocolate, so I think it's grand, 

however I should probably not indulge 

as much as I do.   My mom use to love

chocolate covered cherries.  Every Christmas

she would receive a box.   I almost bought 

a box this past Christmas just for memory's 

sake, Well, that and the fact I enjoy them too.  

I was blessed by a dear friend who sent me a whole

bag of turtles, now those are one of my favorites.

So I've been having two turtles each day.

I thought that lovely gold and navy DSP looked

like some fancy chocolate wrapping paper.  Hence

the reason I chose it.  

I had my first sale of the new year in my 

Etsy shop, so I included with her order one 

of the little calendars I enjoy making.  I will 

add the rest to my shop soon.
