Sketch #341~Snowman Season, Christmas Cuties, Stampin Up

Today I decided to try and make a home video of my card.  Do they even call it that anymore?   Well I put my little 35mm camera up on a stand and zoomed into my work station, I tried 3 takes before finally deciding to give it the official go ahead.   I even tried to figure out how to stop all that background noise, but it that didn't work.  I will include my choppy little video at the end of this post.  The card on the video is the one I made in hopes to have my first ever card class at my home.  I also made a little tag, and mini pizza box.  I've included a picture.

Now, unto the card I made for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Snowman Season
Stampin Up:  Christmas Cuties

I really like the little felt hat, mittens and scarf for the snowman.   I decided to lay the mittens down to even out the picture a bit more.  I chose the sentiment from Christmas Cuties, because it fit so much better then the ones in the Snowman set.  (at least for this card)

Here's that video I mentioned.   I'd love any gentle advice on how to improve the quality.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

#TGIFC236~For all Things, Birds of a Feather, Stampin Up

I wanted to make a quick card for a friend.  She was the first person to buy from my stampin up store.    It was such a delight.  I'm no sales lady, so this is going to be a difficult road for me, but nevertheless.  I have had one sale. which means a lovely little celebration.  I sent her this card with a small little gratitude gift that I hope she will enjoy.   I can't give you all the details.  Perhaps you might place an order and then you too will receive a little token of my appreciation.   How's that for being a sale's lady?  haha.

Any ways I'm going to submit this very clean and simple card to the challenge at:

I even carried the colors to the inside  for my little turkey.   The green got a little dark on me, but I just left it be, this was the second time trying to color him.  At first I used the water color pencils which were the exact color, but it didn't look so great, so next I pulled out the alcohol markers and they blend so lovely, but I didn't have the exact colors.   Thank Goodness I had matching inks in the stamp pads for the front of this card.

The stamp Sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  For all Things
Stampin Up:  Birds of a Feather

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

FMS409~ Turkey Day, Lawn Fawn, Thanksgiving

I made this lovely 5x5 square Thanksgiving card for the challenge at:

Come to think of it I might being adding a collection of square cards to my Etsy shop to see if they are a hit.   I really enjoy making this size.   Of course I'll have to make all the envelopes too, but not a problem.
Speaking of my Etsy shop.  I had two sales last month and one already this month.  YIPPEE. ❕  In fact the woman this month asked if I'd die cut the Santa's pictured below.  She saw my card/kleenex box but didn't want that, just the Santa's, so I was happy to make them for her.

Now for the card.  The stamp set featured in this card is:

Lawn Fawn:  Turkey Day

I stamped the turkey twice so I could cut the feathers off and put them on the inside around the sentiment.  It worked out great.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Sketch #340~Best of Snow, Snowman Season, Stamping up

I made this card for the challenge at:

I have this fabulous DSP that I wanted to play with, and yet at the same time didn't want to cut into it.  Sometimes the paper is so lovely, it can stand alone.

Any ways I did do a little stamping, and then when it was finished, and I set it on my shelf to look at it, YE Gads  it is quite the busy little card.  But folks, I'm still submitting it because I'm still going to be sending it out to someone for Christmas.  Speaking of Christmas, it's snowing today, and I think that means put a Christmas movie in and have a snack.

Challenge 432 Lawn Fawn, Happy Harvest, Pumpkins, Scarecrow

Hope you all had a Happy Halloween, with plenty of little trick or treaters.  My daughter and son-in-law invited me to their home.  It was so much fun.    We live on a very busy street so we don't get many kiddos here, perhaps 12 brave little ones with their parents venture down our road.   However,  at the kids house they got 67.. wowza❕   That is GREAT.   I even made pumpkin cut out cookies, but my decorating skills are not good, so I just spread the frosting on thick and covered them in sprinkles.   Hubby Loved them.  I added a few pictures of the pumpkin masterpieces. haha.. I better stick to card making.. it's just easier to decorate cards.

The card I made today I will submit to the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card today is:

Lawn Fawn: Happy Harvest.

After stamping, coloring and cutting the little images out, I had to find the perfect placement for them on this card.  It was trial and error, until finally the "aha" moment when it all lined up lovely.

Well I had 3 sales in my Etsy shop for the month of October.   Which made me excited to add a few more products this month.   I  am thinking I will be having a "black Friday" sale like the big stores do.  So make sure to come visit.   I have stamps, stamp sets, embossing folders, and of course cards and paper projects.

Thank you for stopping by.

Sketch #339 Little Elephant, Birds of a Feather, Stampin up

Oh goodness, I struggled with this weeks sketch.   I just couldn't seem to get the desired look I wanted on a card, so I almost gave up, until this evening with one last try.   I even included a picture of one of the "fails"  It was just too busy, and uneven strips.  Goodness, I'm almost embarrassed to show it, however, I'm also showing a picture of  my desk with the mess I make while stamping.  Does anyone else end up working in a tight spot on the desk top?   I  box myself right in when I'm thinking and stamping. haha.   Any ways the card is done, and just in the nick of time.  So I will submit it to the following challenge:

Oh my gosh as my story goes, I paste the image of the sketch above, and just like that it jumps off the screen and almost slaps me in the face.. I should have done water, since the bottom portion of the card looks like waves and a sweet little sailboat for the flower.  HOLY cow.  Such is my life, I make it more complicated then need be.

Any ways the stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin up:  Little Elephant
Stampin up:  Birds of a Feather

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

Another reminder I'm still having a sell in my Etsy shop until Oct. 31st.  I'm so excited to say I've had three sales.   You will find stamps, stamp sets, embossing folders, and scrapbook papers all on sale now.  Oh.. and of course cards and paper projects too.  Hope you will pop in for a visit.

TMS #526~Toile Christmas, Stampin Up

Hello~  Looks like we had one last nice day to finish up yard work, before the snow comes.   At least that is what "they" say.   My husband worked hard all afternoon, which gave me some time to make this card.   I was having a day of rest anyways.   Yesterday our kiddos all came home and I made a nice supper for everyone, so I am spent, and very sore today.  But it was all worth it.
Love spending time with our kids.  The time goes so fast, and there are so many laughs and good times.

Now for the card I will submit it to the challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:

Stampin Up:  Toile Christmas

I love how it turned out.  I was a bit worried since I only have one red alcohol marker.  I didn't think it would give a nicely blended look.  But it did fabulous.

I'm also trying to add more things to my Etsy shop because this is the last week for my sale.  I hope you will stop in and see the cards, paper projects, stamps, scrapbook papers, and embossing folders I have available.
