Sketch #355 & Challenge #129 - Heart You ~Dino Days, Heart Happiness, Happy Valentine's Day

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

I will also submit it to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Dino Days
Stampin Up:  Heart Happiness

I debated for quite some time whether to add the bow according  to the sketch design, or put the heart there, then I noticed the way the little dinosaur had his arms opened wide, and it was perfect for placing the heart there.   I also used the plastic wrap technique, then placed the card in my Stone embossing folder and it turned out lovely.  So authentic looking.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

TMS #541~ Power of Hope, Hello, Doily, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stamping Up:  Power of Hope
Stampin Up: Hello, Doily

I am so happy I got a chance to play with my new stamp set.   I think it went well with the older one that included the doily.
I really love the word "hope"  it's one of those words that just seem to be so self descriptive.   However, I also enjoy the acronym for it.
H~Hold
O~On
P~Pain
E~Ends
Perhaps because I struggle with nerve damage I found that very "hopeful"

Any ways, after stampin my little Japanese castle, I fussy cut it out and even used my handy little knife to cut out the insides a bit, so it could be positioned on top of the cherry blossom trees.    I then added gold pearl accents to highlight it and match the gold embellishments.

I'm including a picture of the morning sunrise.  I just love sunrises, it brightens the yard, and my heart.

CAS Game #158~Forever Lovely, Stampin Up, Happy Valentine's Day

I wanted to make one more card for this fun challenge at:

The stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Forever Lovely

If you look real close you will see the tiny hearts on the leaves and vines.    I thought this was a fantastic representation for a Valentine's day card.    I'm so thrilled this double stamping technique lined up as well as it did for me.  That usually never happens for me.

I'm also sharing another picture of our snowy side yard.  This is the kind of weather that has me indoors stamping.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

CAS Game #158~ Forever Lovely, Meant To Be, Stampin Up, Happy Valentine's Day

The snow is falling here in WI.   I will share a  picture, just in 😉case there are those who don't get a lot of snow.

The Valentine's card I made today I will submit to the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Forever Lovely
Stampin Up:  Meant To Be

I die cut the hearts out, and then put a piece of DSP behind the image, and glued the heart piece back on top.

I like how simple it looks with a big bold pop of color.

CTS #358. Happy Heart Day, Stampin Up, Happy Valentine's Day

My dear friend Nancy sent me this retired stampin up set called:   Happy Heart Day.   It was indeed a Happy day when I received this lovely package in the mail yesterday.  I'm so thankful to her.  I made this card for her using the new to me set.   I will cherish it and add it to my collection.   Please take a moment and visit Nancy's blog, she makes great cards and projects, she is the one who inspired me to start stamping and finishing the insides of my cards.

I will submit this card to the challenge at:

A little stamping, a little coloring and some clear wink of stella completes this card.  I like the simplicity of it.

TMS #540 Heartfelt, Happy Heart Day, Stampin Up, Happy Valentine's Day

I made this Valentine card for the challenge at:

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Heartfelt
Stampin Up:  Happy Heart Day

I really like this DSP, and I always forget to cut out the center, since most of the time it's covered with other card stock.   It seems like such a waste of good DSP.   Well Hopefully next time I'll remember. 😉

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

HSSSC332~ Forever Lovely, Heartfelt, The Gang's All Meer, Stampin Up, Happy Valentine's Day

I made this  card for the challenge at:

The stamp Sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Forever Lovely
Stampin Up:  Heartfelt
Stampin Up:  The Gang's all Meer

It all started as a Valentine card, and then a stamp set arrives I wanted to play with, hence the little meerkat becomes a cute addition to the card.    I was having trouble with my new Rococo Rose ink pad, it just wasn't giving a nice covered impression.  But I didn't give up.  I kept trying.  However, after adding the clear wink of stella to give the little heart some shimmer, it took on a whole different color.  SIGH.   Well perhaps I will say I did it intentionally to match the piece of DSP with the darker colors.

I'm also including a picture of the cheetos my dad dropped off.  He knows we love hot spicy things here.  So I was telling him about these and he went and bought some for himself.  Well folks, he's so cute, he said he started sweating and had to run to the kitchen for water.   I was laughing because we raised our kiddos with milk, and so I told dad that should be your first option if you eat something too hot.  Any ways dad brought them up to our house with a cute firetruck sticker.  He cracks me up.   I will also add this, it's been two years since mom passed away, and he is handling life like a champ.  So proud of my dad.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
