I love how the wood looking DSP ties everything 

together so nicely.  

This Christmas card will be going to my Dad.  

I think he will appreciate the slimline card.   

Tomorrow is it folks, I need to get serious about addressing

and writing out the cards, not just making them.  

I made about 17 more cards today, and a few more 

bookmarks to tuck inside.  Now I've got to get 

busy and get them in the mail.

CTS #400~ Lasting Lily, Fishin', Stampin Up, Sympathy Card.

I don't like making sympathy cards, they just make 

me sad.   I'm grateful that I'm able to personalize 

a card for the person grieving, but nevertheless it makes

a gal think about life, and how fast it goes by. 

I read a lovely poem many years ago, about the 

"dash"   I will include it at the bottom of this post.

I used Ribbon for the horizontal lines, and 

then stamped the little scene on the side with 

the cattails, and fishing gear.  I chose 

soft colors for this card.

Sketch #397 Winter Window, Paper Trey Ink, Itty Bitty Christmas, Toile Christmas, Stampin Up, CTMH Welcome Home

I didn't think I'd get a chance to make a card for the 

challenge this week, because this past week 

has been a challenge for me.  Sigh. 

Doctor appointments, then another ultra sound 

for my side.  My gosh I'm just sick of it all.  

First it's the gallbladder, because my pancreas 

numbers are all elevated.  Well I'm no 

doctor, but apparently Lupus attacks organs

and one being the pancreas.  anyways we 

went from having surgery quickly to 

the doctor saying we could consult surgeon, but 

it's my call.  OH my gosh.  IF I don't need it 

out I'd rather keep my parts.  Just feeling hopeless

my friends.  Confused and hopeless. 

The lose dose medicine they have me on is hurting 

my back I think.  Which concerns me. Not them. 

Any ways enough complaining about my terrible week,

Hopefully tomorrow will be the start of a much better one.

I thought I'd share a picture of my sweetie HP 

He was standing up by the window waiting for 

my husband to drive down.  I'm teaching him to 

wave out the window.  It's so funny he really does do it.

Can you believe Christmas is so close?  Oh my gosh I 

must work on sending out Christmas cards.   I wish 

I could send you all one.  

I thought I'd share a picture of our Christmas tree.

I use to put up 5 trees, and now it's one, with very 

little on it.  But I think it's beautiful.

SSC245 WINTER WARMTH~ Recollections, Christmas Noel, Stampin Up, White Christmas

Aw, I had so much fun making this card.  It is for 

my dad.  I always struggle trying to match the color 

of his truck.  I used my alcohol markers and 

went with blue and reds to come up with a 

burgundy color.   

He loves going for drives, and so I made a lovely 

little winter scene for him.  

I forgot to take a picture of the inside.  Drats.  It 

has a cute little reindeer, and I made sure to 

emphasize his nose so as to be Rudolf.

Sunday Stamps

I was doing so good paying attention to colors,

Red, Green, Brown, and the Burgany/purplish color,

and then I blew it with the snowman cap,scarf, and

one little present.  I used blue. Sigh.

Christmas Card, Stampin Up Wrapped In Warmth

I came across a card that totally 

 impressed me.  With how they used DSP.

So I had to give it a shot.  Now looking back 

I wish I had not used the black behind the 

sentiment. But Next time I'll do better. 

I love the combination of Embossing and 

DSP, just a lovely way to use up some scraps.

Sketch #396~Wonderful Year, Winter Woods, Stampin Up Merry Christmas

I hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving.  

We had a wonderful time.  I am still trying to 

unwind from the flurry of baking and such.  

I made 3 treats.  Seems excessive for our little family.

But wanted to cover all grounds.  

I made the usual pumpkin pie, and then pumpkin

bars with cream cheese frosting.  Lastly the ever 

so sweet chocolate, caramel oatmeal bars, that

only my son and I like.  

So much to be thankful for, Our home, health, family.

I have some happy news.  I won a stamp 

set a few weeks back, from Linda, at the stamping school

I made her a fun column card and she featured it

in a sweet little video.  I wasn't able to download it,

but if you go to her fb page you will see it.  I 

just took a snap shot of it here below.  

My dear friend Nancy from Nanny's Pansy Patch,

actually told me about the sweet video, and 

gave me the idea to post it here on my blog. 

I'm so grateful for her friendship.  

Sometimes I just don't have all my little ducks 

in a row.  So it's nice to have friends help me out.

I really like the birch trees I stamped in the background.  

I decorated the pine tree with that lovely shimmery 

embossing pasted, and gems.  I added the adhesive 

snowflakes around the sentiment.  

While I was decorating my Christmas tree card,

my darling husband was decorating outside trees.  

Well I've shared quite a bit today, and I also just 

realized I deleted the pictures off my phone, 

because my little phone is on the fritz.  So now how 

will I share them to instagram?  Oh what joy.  I'm 

always doing something to keep my kids busy helping me. 

One more reason to thankful.  They do indeed help. 💕
