SSC271 WINTER WONDER~Toile Christmas, Christmas Whimsy, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Toile Christmas
Stampin Up:  Christmas Whimsy
I chose to work with the white, red and green.
Oh my I almost colored the beak and orange (ish)
color, and then remembered to stick to the rules.
and to my surprise, when I looked it up, they can
have red beaks, so it all worked out grandly.
I used white over the top of the evergreen
to represent the snow.
I think my head must sit lopsided on my neck.
Because even with my glasses on, the sentiments
still ended up to be crooked.  I suppose that
is my hallmark in card making. (wink)
The next few pictures I took this morning.
There were tons of geese visiting the little
pond around the corner.
It always amazes me the wildlife that is
there.  You see this is a very busy road.
And if I were to take a picture out the other
window to my left, you'd see the trains.
We live next to the train yard,
but these tracks around the corner
are still buzzing with activity.
So loud and busy all the time.
Yet the geese, deer, eagles, ducks, turtles,
blue heron, etc.  all seem to gather here.  How
fortunate we are.

Sketch 448~Scentsational Season, The Little Things, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Scentsational Season
Stampin Up:  The Little Things
I hope you all had a very Happy Thanksgiving.
We were blessed to have our kiddos all come home.
What a grand time.  Even though the biscuits got
a wee bit too done.  sigh.
We did a fun mad libs Thanksgiving game.
It reminded me of when the kids were in school.
Then a fabulous time playing UNO, and Sorry,
and shuffleboard.  Not a dull moment here with
four active young adults and us.  Don't forget HP too.
In making this card, I cut all the squares too
big and so I had to redo all of them so they'd
fit on the card.  I had my moose stamp out
and ready to go.  Do you see a moose on here?
Of course not.  Because I changed direction in mid
card.  haha.  I tend to do that quite frequently.  I just
loved the sentiments, and thought those cute little houses
on the DSP would be perfect little ginger bread homes.
So then the stamping, and fussy cutting began.  I love the
glitter paper behind the sentiments, and roof tops.
Reminds me of sugary sprinkles on sweet treats.

Health update:  On a medication that PRAISE the LORD is
working for blood pressure so far,  However, it's all over the place
leaves me dizzy, weak and tired, with blurry eyes, but
I'm also tired of being a lab rat so sticking with this one for now.
and praying that it stays "acceptable"  I go back
Dec. 1st.   I have to order a few supplements, and the
supplement man even mentioned something about
super beet chews being good for a person.  So
if it's not too pricey, we might purchase that.
I'm still trusting the LORD to heal me.
Even though it gets difficult somedays.  I guess
that is what they mean when they say "this is
where the rubber meets the road."  Puts one's
faith to the test.  BUT we must persevere in prayer
and in believing He hears and He will answer
the best way possible and in His perfect timing.
I think I'm preaching to myself dear friends.
Not to lose hope keep praying.

Penguin Caroling Christmas Card

I made this fun card for a challenge, but then
forgot to enter it.
Isn't that the case when ya work so hard at it, and
then boom set it off to the side and forget about it.
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Lawn Fawn:  Here we go a waddling
This card is a square 5x5
I enjoy making those, even though it requires
me also to make an envelope, and the postage
is higher, they are just neat, but I don't make
too many, the pocket book can't afford to send them.
I just love those happy penguins caroling.
I love coloring in simple lines like these characters.
On my instagram story I had to add the song
Deck the halls.  It is perfect

FUSION - Triangle Balls~Acorny Thank you, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card:
Stampin Up:  Acorny Thank you
The sentiment that runs along the side
is washi tape.  Then I placed
piece of gold ribbon next to that.
I always like to try and carry a little bit
of the front of the card to the inside as well.
I embossed the vanilla paper to look like
wood.  I think it gives a great fall look.
I like the fun colors of the acorns.  I
like acorns in general.  I think they have
such grand personality.  They come with
their own little hats, or caps, and I always
like to draw faces on them.

Challenge 532~ Seasons of Fun, Acorny Thank you, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:

Try Stamping on Tuesday

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Seasons of Fun

Stampin Up:  Acorny Thank you

Lots of coloring on this one, but that

little boy is darling playing in the leaves

with his little cat.

Doesn't it look like a fun time?

The sentiment fit perfectly on that little tab.

Always makes my day when things like
that work out.

Someday I will figure out why part of
my blog is double-spaced and now
here it is all normal again.  Sigh.
It's a wonder that I even know how to
submit my cards to the challenges.

Sketch #446~Joy to the world, Simon Says

Wowza, I didn't think I was going to get this card
done today.  I am going to admit something quite
silly.  I spent my afternopn searching for this stamp
set to make this card.  I could not find it.  I went
slowly over my whole shelf.
I have one shelf designated for Christmas stamps.
and it was not there.  But my eyes were a bit
screwy, so I took a break, came back, and still no
luck. I even texted my husband at work, saying
I suppose you will have to help me when you get
home.  I can't find it.  He is so sweet.  No worries
he says. he will. So I calmed down.
I decided to pull out a few more Christmas sets to
make some one layer simple
cards for easy mailing.
As I started going through the little stack
of stamps on my desk, there it was.
Can YOU believe that?  all that time
looking around and it was on my desk.
Oh my gosh. Well at least I
found it.  And made this sweet card.
I will submit it to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Simon Says:  Joy to the World

I love Jesus and I don't want to take
away from the Nativity, but oh my
gosh that sheep is just too cute.  He
makes me smile.  And that little donkey
is so studious looking.  Gotta love him.
There was a lot of stamping, coloring and cutting
involved with this card, but it was worth it.
Did you notice the gold ribbon?
O Holy night is one of my favorite Christmas
carols.   Then Silent night, and then... Well
I'll stop I love most all Christmas music.

Sketch #446~Welcoming Woods, Count on Me, Stampin Up

I made this card for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Welcoming Woods
Stampin Up:  Count on Me
I was most excited to make this sweet card
using my new stamp sets.  However, as
I'm typing this up, I looked at the sketch again,
and boom another idea hit me.
So I most likely will be
working on that in the next day or two.
Oh gosh who am I kidding, I'll get to it
tomorrow Lord willing.
I like how nice the embossing folder goes
with those birch trees.
Of course my inner child came out again,
after stamping and coloring that cute bear,
and I was singing.
If ya click the link, ya might just get it
stuck in your head too.  (wink)
The hearts along the side is washi tape,
and the little heart in the trees is a punch.
I love that sentiment.  So true.
Our little apple tree is losing its leaves.
Guess it is time for that to happen, he
is one of the last ones in the yard to
drop them.
I can't believe how my sweet little
hound puts up with my nonsense.
I asked him to sit real still while
I took a few pictures with a filter.
Aren't they so funny?
Thank you sincerely for all the prayers,
a new medicine, and new problem, and now
off pills again.  Grrr.  Just not going to worry
anymore.  Praying to have peace to let it all go.
I got back next Tuesday for blood work.  sigh.

Hubby is working his second job this evening,
and I hear the splashing of the traffic out there, so
it must be raining quite heavily.  These are the days
I'm thankful for our little old warm/dry home.
HP is snoring in his little bed.
I think it's time for me to rest too.

A Walk In The woods Challenge~ Welcoming woods, Thankful Forest Friends, Stampin Up

So exciting to find a card challenge that
I never heard of before.
So I got busy stamping.
I will submit this card to the
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Welcoming Woods
Stampin Up:  Thankful Forest Friends
The sentiments are single stamps.
This song brings back so many grand
 memories of my Auntie Ann
So That is why I purchased that stamp, it doesn't
really stamp so nicely, but I make do with it.
because of the memories.
The little pumpkin covers up a smudge.
Thank goodness for embellishments and layers.
I think this little trio is cute, however, when
I stamped the bear, I couldn't get the Wizard of Oz

Today was a whirl wind of a day.  haha, Keeping with the
Wizard of Oz thoughts,  Seriously there are days
I can't seem to get a thing accomplished.

I had to go to the
doctor, and that is never no fun.  Then when I got home
I was exhausted. Physically and emotionally.
I had to go myself because Hubby worked.
Another pill to try, and praying this one will work on
lowering the blood pressure.  Thank you so much to
everyone who has been praying for me in this journey.💗

Today is plant watering day, and sorry to say they will have to
wait until tomorrow.  Some of the little plants can be quite dramatic
when missing a watering.  But God willing tomorrow they
will have a drink.

I'm looking forward to playing along with the challenges.
