Harvest Thank you

I made this harvest card for my dad, to
thank him for being such a helper.
He always has the best word phrases.
and the one he uses when he don't understand
what I'm talking about because I talk a mile
a minute (they say) is: I'm
"corn-fused"  haha I love it.  So I thought
this was the perfect card for him.
I will submit it to the challenge at:
The stamp set featured in this card is:
Lawn Fawn:  Happy Harvest
Another card of mine with just plain old
basic stamping techniques.  A bit of fussy cutting
with this one.  When I was cutting out the corn
stalks I was thinking of my own little garden,
and I think I figured out why the corn cobs didn't
get full of kernels.  I guess you are suppose to
plant them in rows.  haha imagine that.  I planted
ours on the perimeter of our garden but not in rows.
Next year I will do better.  Lord willing.  Any ways,
that is what I occupied my mind with when I was
cutting.  Then it was a matter of placement so
the little scarecrow would sit nicely to scare away
the crows.  Of course I had to think of the Wizard
of Oz when I was coloring and cutting him out.
I really like the Stampin up DSP I used for
this card.  It has nice harvest/fall colors.
My darling son celebrated his 30th birthday yesterday.
I'm so happy he was able to come home.  We planned
on going by him, but he wanted to come home.  Bless his heart.
I'm so grateful for all that have prayed for him since his
bad bike accident in August.  As you can see from the
above picture I took yesterday, he is back at it.
Glory to God.
Here is a picture of this little sweetheart. Right in
the middle of the walk way again, and so darn cute.
Now you all know I love house plants,
and I had quite a collection of African Violets.
Well, there is one particular one that I'm most
fond of.  Anyways somewhere along the way
with all that has been going on with my health,
I've neglected them.  It just dawned on me the other
day that my beautiful big purple one was no more. I
had propagated three hoping one of them would be it.
I'm happy to say this could be the one.  In the picture above.
Her blooms are about the size of a 50 cent piece. So when it
opens all the way I will know, and if it is, I will be
propagating many little leaves from her. In hopes
that she will not become extinct.

The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 9:1 KJV
I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart;
I will shew forth all thy marvelous works.

Halloween Card #3 for the 2023 Season

Halloween card #3 for the 2023 season.
I made this one for the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Harvest Hellos, Seasons of Fun
What a funtastic card to make.  I love cutesy
Halloween stuff.  I've not ever been one to
go for the spooky stuff.
So this little gal with her pumpkin costume on
makes me smile.
Even though she has roller skates on, I sat
her on top of the pumpkin line up.  This was just
basic stamping and fussy cutting.  Then a matter
of following the sketch for placement.

Below is a picture of my orchid.  So happy
to see it bloom, especially since I cut the
air roots which is a big no no.  I just got a little
crazy trimming all my plants and apparently
the orchid got a "plant trim" too.  But happy
to say she blooms still, and hopeful always will.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 95:2 KJV
Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving,
and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms.

Glory To God Christmas Card

Guess who made a Christmas card?
Oh how I do love Christmas card making.
Some of my other cards always seem to be
hit or miss on instagram.  So maybe I should
just focus on all Christmas all the time.  haha
I followed the sketch at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Decorated with happiness, Night Divine,
Reason for the season, Peaceful boughs, and
the stitched shape dies.
I started off thinking I would be using ornaments to
go around the sentiment and the oval.  However, after
coloring and cutting them out, it just didn't seem to match
the elegance of the oval or the sentiment.  So hence the
poinsettia, pinecones and pine sprigs.  I use some
dimensionals to pop up the oval and then went to work
layering the arrangement.  Now for the little embellishments
I chose white sequins to blend in.  Did you notice I embossed
the white cardstock in the background with snowflakes?
I had so much fun making this card, I had the Christmas tunes
playing and it was nice and cozy, even as it was storming outside.

I thought this was the perfect picture(below)for today.
It was a good reminder for me too, since I had another
lovely experience with doctors.  This time I went
for a second opinion for my eyes last Friday.  My appointment
was at 7:15 A.M.  Well on Saturday my one eye (the bad one)
was still dilated.  Oh boy after crying hard, which I'm sure
did not help it at all.  I asked for my fb friends to pray for me
and by Sunday the dilation was normal.  I was still quite
upset about it, and told my husband I don't think it's right,
he says, "want me to get a caliber to measure your pupils?"
Isn't he the cute one.  haha.
The little guy was moving his bed closer and closer
to my stamp room, the little darling.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Isaiah 9:6KJV
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,
The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Happy 30th Birthday Son

I made this card for my son.  He is
catching up to me in age.  haha
I will submit it to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up: Beautiful World, Number of years,
Birthday wit.
Hampton Art~candles.
I decided to use the sketch in a square 5" x 5"  card.
It was quite a challenge to fit that circle with the strips
on there along with a sentiment in the corner.
I chose a scenic DSP that is land, water, sky,
to fit with the whole world, and globe theme.
I cut the strips and glued them on green
card stock before adding them to the finished card.
It was quite the decision on what color the globes
should be, and so I just stuck with the basic blue.
I love how the inside of the card turned out.  I
did a "W" fold to give it the pop out look.
I hope my son likes it. šŸ’–
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 20:4 KJV
Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
NIV
May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.

Halloween card #2 for the 2023 season

My second Halloween card for the 2023
season, and this one I made for the challenge at:
The stamps sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Cutest Halloween, Welcoming Woods,
Scary Silhouettes
I love how this turned out.  Even the little fairy
lights made it have a spooky vibe.
The side spider web is washi tape, and I stamped
the spider and cut him out to add on top.  I punched
a circle to use as a mask while I shaded in the background
color. then I stamped the trees in black and used a white
gel pen to add highlights as if from the moon.   I  stamped
and punched out the ghost and added him behind the
sentiment.  The final touches were the stars and bats.
I think it looks pretty "spook-tac-ular"
I just thought a little piece of ribbon
would be nice to "tie" it all together.
My little guy is snoozing with his little
bone.  He loves his toys.
The verse I chose for this card is:
Psalm 104:20 KJV
Thou makest darkness, and it is night:
wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.

Santa is Checking His List

I got busy cleaning up my plants today.
That is a full time job.  Good golly I love them,
but they are a handful.   Hopefully this weekend
my sweetheart will help me repot a few.
I don't know how I turned into the plant lady.
It started with a just a couple, and now I have
more then 50.   It's like when I got my
ears pierced it started out just the normal
one on each side and now I have seven.  Good grief.
I don't know when to stop.
Well, after all that snipping, I realized I made
a mistake with my lovely orchid, that is actually blooming
again.  I cut the aerial roots.  They were shooting out all over
the place.  I should have just repotted her.  Gosh I'm hoping she will survive.
So to relax and calm down, I decided it was time for Christmas.
and you all know what I mean by that.  It was Christmas card making
time again.  Nothing makes me destress better then that.
So I turned on the Christmas music and got to work
with this little gem.  I will submit it to the challenge at:
The stamp sets featured in this card are:
Stampin Up:  Signs of Santa
Lawn Fawn:  Christmas Dreams
I used an embossing folder to create the center
piece. In my mind it looked like a stone fireplace,
so hence that is the direction I went. I had so much fun
stamping and coloring this little scene.  Even though
it was difficult to see some of the project I kept at it
with my glasses on and I love how cozy it looks,
right down to the rug in front of the firepalce and the cookies on
the mantel.   Notice how Santa is checking his list just one
more time before filling the stockings.  haha.
That is one of my favorite little pine
trees in the yard.  It has the best layers for
catching leaves.
I want to get some more yarn colors to keep working
on these.  They are fun to make.  I think some fall/autumn ones
would be a nice touch too.
The verse I chose for this card is:
1 Peter 4:10KJV
As every man hath received the gift,
even so minister the same one to another,
as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

My First Halloween card for the season 2023

Happy Saturday friends.
I made this Halloween card for the challenge at:
The Stamp set featured in this card is:
Stampin Up:  Best Witches
I felt inspired by the upcoming "holidays"

 I haven't added anything
to my etsy shop for a while.  So today I added
two stamp sets and one beach card.
I will be adding this one too, most likely tomorrow.
Goodness I forgot how much a person has to type
just to put an item up for sale.
But while in my etsy shop, I noticed I did not have any
cards, especially Halloween, hence the reason for this
card today.
I am not a "spooky" Halloween kind of gal, but I do
love the cute stuff.  That's what I think of this little
witch, a cutie with some attitude.
It was just basic stamping here folks, some coloring
and fussy cutting.  The DSP works lovely for the
three individual levels on this card.

When I saw this message today, I thought of how it
is perfect for just about anything in life, whether it
be gardening, dieting, stamping, parenting, even having an
etsy shop. It just seems to cover the bases.  Don't give up!

The verse I chose for this card today is:
Proverbs 21:21KJV
He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
 findeth life, righteousness, and honour.
