Sketch #294~ Avery Elle North Pole Pals, Merry Christmas Santa

 I made this card for the challenge at:

 Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

This was a very difficult sketch for me to work with, but I wasn't going to let it stop me from trying.  I should have taken a picture before adding all the stamped images to my circles and rectangles.   Trust me they are under there.  Did you notice I added a red nose to one of the reindeer?   Santa's Pal had to be included so he could guide the sleigh of course. 😉  I added Mrs. Claus to the inside of the card, as not to leave anyone out.  I imagine she was at the North Pole baking cookies all day for Santa to take on his upcoming busy night.  Oh my imagination runs wild sometimes ( all the time).

HSSSC304 Merry Christmas in the Making Stampin Up

 I was so determined to use this lovely black and silver striped paper, however, it posed quite the problem.  I should have taken a picture of all the trial and errors I had with it.   I wanted to make a non-traditional Christmas card using this classy color combo just to challenge myself a bit.  YIKES> I almost gave up until I pulled this darling stampin up set off my shelf.  It's like this set was made for this black tie card, it is so retro.  I then embossed the white with a diagonal stripe to match the black and silver.   I made a book mark top by the sentiment so that I could tie some pretty sparkle black ribbon on it.   I'm quite pleased with the finished product, even though the picture is not the best quality.   I just didn't want to wait until the morning to post it.   I haven't stamped in almost a week.  (gasp)  Still dealing with so many home projects, and cleaning yet from the contractor.  It's just dragging on.  I haven't even started writing out my Christmas cards yet.  Oh boy I must dedicate tomorrow to that.

I made this little Christmas winter scene using 3 different stamp sets, some patterned paper and washi tape.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.  

I'm also so excited to report that yesterday I figured out how to run a sale in my Etsy store and by golly I had two grand orders.  So I wanted to share that good news.

Sketch #293 Merry Christmas, Snoopy, Dog House Decorated, Dreaming of Santa

 My second project today I made for the challenge at: Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

I flipped the sketch vertical to accommodate my snoopy stamp.   After stamping and coloring I thought he needed a bit more sparkle, so I added clear wink of stella to the dog house and the lights.  Hence the second picture, I hope ya all can see it a bit better.   I think snoopy is dreaming of Christmas, but instead of leaving a plate of cookies for Santa, he left a few doggy bones in his dish for him.   Aww.. Snoop dog is always the thoughtful one.    I also added some sparkle washi tape, however just the red looked a bit plain, so I layered that too.  I wanted something cheery for the inside so this sentiment worked lovely.  Both stamps were from a local consignment shop.  The dog dish and bones are from Lawn Fawn, critters at the dog park.  

I know a few people who would like this card, purely because of snoopy.

#TGIFC188~Tags & Trimmings Stampin UP Christmas Stocking

 I made this adorable little paper stocking to be submitted to the challenge at:TGIF

 

It was the perfect opportunity to make a little something special for my dad during this difficult Holiday Season.   Mom passed away last January so this will be our first Christmas without her.   Last  Christmas was hard because she was so sick and we all knew her time was running out.   So I wanted to do a little something more then just a card for his door, (he'll get one of those too)  but I wanted him to be able to hang this little stocking somewhere for a bit of Holiday cheer.  I tried to make it a bit more masculine with the lovely background paper, and snowflakes.  I was super impressed with how the top flap for the pillow box had the moose exactly in the middle.  I had to take a picture of that.  I still can't believe that worked out so well for me.     I think I will be making a few more of these this week.  They are so fun to make.  I will be changing the background paper for some variety.  Perhaps I should have thought of this earlier so I could have added it to my Etsy Shop  

I used the Tags & Trimmings stampin up set to create this lovely stocking.

After stamping and coloring, I punched out the bells, and punched out the little hole so I could string the sequins though them.     The inside sentiment is a single stamp that I purchased awhile back from a local shop.

FMS365 Merry Christmas, Merry Moose, Carols of Christmas Stampin Up

Freshly Made Sketches

I have to use my little moose stamp at least once every Christmas, if not more.  I Love moose, they make me smile, especially this little guy.   I found a few different patterned papers to work with that seemed to say moose/lodge theme to me. Then I die cut out a few little pine trees for behind him to make it look like he really just came from the woods to get his Christmas tree.    After I stamped and colored the little fella in, I noticed that on the blue sweater you couldn't really see the stars, so I used my color lifter pen to try and dab at it a bit.  He now has a worn out looking sweater.  Oh Joy!
