I die cut the hearts on white card stock, and then 

layered it on red card stock, and fussy cut all 

around the outline of the white hearts.  I used

the white hearts that I popped out as accent 

pieces around the red.  It was quite a bit of 

work, but I do like how it turned out. 

The sentiment is sweet and simplistic.  

My husband and I took the ole boy out

for a walk in the yard, he has always loved 

snow, and even in his declining health he 

still goes for the deepest drifts and sticks 

his nose in it. LOVE this little fella.  

Thought this was a cute little add in for the Valentine

cards and all the bacon lovers out there.

I made this fun card for the challenge at:

As You See It Challenge

The stamp set featured in this card is:

Stampin Up:  Sweet Conversations 

I used a variety of Valentine DSP to take

this card up a notch.  I love the conversation

hearts, as much as I did when I was a kid, with all the candies. 

Just something "sweet" about reading each of the

tiny little messages.  

I added dimensionals to each of the hearts

to raise them up a bit.  

We had a little snow storm here on 

Friday.   My husband was even able 

to come home early.   That's always 

exciting.  I don't get much time with him. 

Now we will be cold, and that's NO fun. 

starting off at 0 and going down to 16°

below zero or more.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Card #3 for 2024

Here is card #3 for 2024

I was most excited to play along with the challenge at:

Color My heart Color Dare

The stamp set featured in this card is:

Stampin Up:  Beary Cute

I just received a snowflake die, and was most

happy to use it with this card.  Now my blue is 

not as light as the recommended color I tried one

other blue I had on had but it almost looked gray,

so I stuck with the darker one.  The red and green

are a pretty close match, however I felt the little

red scarf on the bear wasn't enough so the inside

sentiment also is in the red.  

I absolutely love how it turned out.  

Perhaps it was the snowy weather outside 

that inspired my card today.  We had a very

brown Christmas and that's unusual for WI. 

but we are getting our snow now, so good 

thing I kept our Christmas tree up, something

sweet about that.  

The garden is all covered up. 

The trains are even quieter with the snow.

Card #2 for the 2024 year is a monochromatic

Christmas card. 

I am playing along with the challenge at:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

The stamp sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Beary Cute, Cheer to the Season

I stamped this in red at first but the evergreen sprigs,

just didn't look as nice, so I went with green.  

I used some sparkle washi tape to divide the three

horizontal strips of DSP, it sort of matches the 

scattered embellishments.  

Someone very dear to my heart is in my 

craft room.  I love that studious look.  

The verse I chose for this card is:

Ephesians 1:3 KJV

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, 

who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

Card #1 for 2024

Happy New Year!  2024

My first post of the New year.  How very exciting. 

I can't believe it's already the 5th.  Yesterday

was one of those difficult days because it

was Jan 4th 2013 that I had spinal injections 

that damaged my legs, then that following

February another injection, then in March

before spinal surgery they did one more.

I'm glad I survived it but knowing what I 

do now, I'd never do that again. not ever. 

I made this fun card today for the challenge at:

I let the DSP do the work for me here.

I love how 3D it looks, almost, like the mountains are

popping right off the card.  For the little bear I 

had to stamp him on my silicone pad and then onto

the paper to reverse him so he was climbing up the right

side of the mountain which I suppose is considered  

the  left side  looking at it.  But I wanted him to get

to the top of that sentiment as well.  I love how it turned out. 

I got a lovely Christmas gift from my daughter,

one more punch holder.  Away with my daisy box

(I will use it for something else) and my little crates

have already found a new shelf space.  

Doesn't it look so much better.  I 

can't believe all the punches I've 

acquired.  I supposed over 25 years 

of stamping will do this to a gal.

But I will say my collection has grown

considerably since 2013.   

The verse I chose for this card is:

Psalm 28:7KJV

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, 

and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;

 and with my song will I praise him.

The other reason I picked this verse is because my

word for the year 2024 is "shield"  and my verse this year 

is: Proverbs 30:5KJV

Every word of God is pure: he is a shield 

unto them that put their trust in him.

Christmas Thank you Notes

I made this thank you card for a friend, 

and then I made 2 more identical to it for 

Christmas Thank you notes.  

I will submit it to the challenge at:

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

The stamps sets featured in this card are:

Stampin Up:  Welcoming woods, Beary cute,

Wishing You well.

Well this card was quite the process, after cutting

out the circles, I then wish I had matted them, but used

my blue alcohol marker to dot the edges a bit to make

it look like stitches.  I stamped the wreath and fussy cut it

out.  I die-cut it first but it was a little too neat, and cut off some

of the stamping.  The bow and tree also had to be fussy cut.  

This was a long sentiment that I masked with tape to 

get it to fit in the middle.  I dressed up the tree with the same 

sequin string as that which is below the sentiment.   For as much

work as this card was I am honestly not that impressed with it.

I started thinking how cute snowflakes would have been, or 

even an upside down snowman, but I already cut out the DSP

and I didn't want to waste it.  So there it is.  

We took HP for a little ride today.  He had

his vet appointment on Friday,  there are 

no obstructions in his throat, the bumps

all over him are not causing him pain, we 

can do a 400 dollar blood test to see if he

has a rare swallowing disease, but at this 

point it's autoimmune related and the vet says

to keep doing what we are doing, making his 

homemade dog food, and encouraging water,

he's not losing weight and looks good for 

a 12 year old dog they said,   So we are 

thanking the LORD he is a trooper, and

we are putting in the work to keep him going.

Golden Birthday Card

I made this card for my beautiful daughter.

It is her "golden" birthday today.

December 27, 2023

Making the inside of the card with that 

calendar is always a bit tricky.  I have to 

make sure it's lined up and masked off so

as not to get all the other numbers. 

I tried to use as much gold as possible for the 

card, and I come to find out that pink didn't really

look good for the cheers glass, so I went with blue.

I really love how black and gold look, but didn't 

want to make my daughter a black card, I wanted 

something light and fresh looking.   

I think the gold polka dots resemble that of a 

bit of bubbly.  Perfect for a celebration card.

I thought the little photo below was perfect for her.
